If u see your neighbour walking this dog every morning unleashed what would you do?

I talked to him once a few weeks back but he still carry on. So today I brought out my phone and took a pic of the dog and talk to him again. The dog is very obedient and I am not afraid of dog but my wife is prettt scared. I think she can avoid the dog since the dog does not approach strangers.

am I being too picky? The neighbour seems to be a totally nice guy and he did say he will leashed it but the dog will be sad.

anyone know what breed is the dog? I just know it is a big dog…

Ya the dog looks super well behaved but I am just worried one day something might spook him or he is in a really bad mood. Not really a dog owner but I have read stories…. I don’t know the dog that well other than seeing him a few times jogging.
the neighbour said I was disrupting the harmony of the neighbourhood by complaining about his dog since his dog is not disturbing anyone. I guess the dog does not approach people but I have seen people taken detours around the dog… not sure if I am the “bad guy” here. I also don’t want to spoil the harmony

Looks like a SS. Singapore Special. Local mongrel.

Best to leash if on walking rounds. Something might spook it and easier to control if leashed.

If your approach is polite, your neighbour should not be offended. At least u gave him a chance to do the right thing instead of immediately submit photo n complaint to the authority.

Stay safe

Cheers

It's pretty large, should be leashed for the safety of others and itself.

Dogs are happy to be out, whether leashed or not. Want to run free? Then go to the dog runs or an isolated place at East Coast Park, or walk at a time when humans are sleeping.

If I see a dog unleased, I would walk over and give it a big hug.

Humans are more dangerous than dogs.

Dog might look well behave first sight but one wont know how they react when seeing another aggressive breed.

I would skip around them.

You got a good neighbour.

What I have observed owner tend to be more hostile than their pet.

Reality is most people only tolerate small or cute unleashed dogs.

Your dogs not chioh/black/dark colored. Everyone comes complain, dog maybe dangerous.

My dog is chioh, so even kids come up to sayang it. You get ugly dog, everyone Siam you...

Honestly if the dog is well behaved, it's very unlikely to behave aggressively even when threatened.

But you run the risk of it being spooked by traffic and running away.

This is a large dog, must be leashed lo. The owner is irresponsible. Nice guy or not is another story. It is against the law for dog owner not to leash their dog in public?

Anyway, small or big dog, it is a must to leash then when outside, for the safety of the dog and others people. Cause you won’t know when the dog might go ‘crazy’ even you think how well behave the dog is.

Wait the dog run out to the road then how?!

This is bs. Bigger dogs will just ignore.

SG don't have the dangerous breeds and we don't train our dogs as guard dogs.

Its all the stupid smallish dogs with stupid owners who refuse to discipline them.

Yes, the neighbour is a very nice guy so that is why I feel a bit bad for him and the dog. But the point is people like my wife who is terrified of dog is not doing to walk up to the owner to tell him off with that dog unleashed. So maybe he does not know other people is inconvenienced by his actions.
my wife had dog owners scold her when she became defensive at overly friendly dogs running at her… both locally and overseas. My Son when he was 4 had a stray dog charge at him in Croatia…

I never had a dog but my uncle had a big stray dog and I always ride it like a horse when young so I am ok with them.
