ya, slight dispointment, esp after T. Möregårdh wont the first round.

I dun think wang chu qin is better then fzd,

fan is 27. 1 more oly for him.

T. Möregårdh is 22, Lebrun is  17yr.

hope got some country give china good fight

In china, where TT is the national sport, and probably hundreds of millions watching this TT mens finals.
And there's only two spots per country.
The national coaches will decide who's really going to deliver the gold.

Whether u can defend your olympic gold is not up to u one. FZD may not get the chance one.  He's already 1 gold, 1 silver liao.
Similarly for WCQ.

Ma Long was one exception when he was that old simply cos he's the best generational player for a while, and still a killer.

Yeah for sure.
But you can bet the chinese will identify him as a potential threat. And what they will do? They will school their national squad reserves to play in that style. And the elite players will keep training against that.

He was schooled by FZD in the semis pretty comfortably.

FZD kept losing to Ma Long in his prime despite being world no.1. Old Ginger.

Saw a video on Chinese team training also uses optics tech to fine tune players posture, also have chips embedded bat to measure speed of strokes and power/strength when contact the ball.

So now it's not just endless repetition on playing the same strokes.

Tennis: Djokovic (SRB) wins first set tie-break

Nothing to seperate the two men at the end of the first set, so we head to a tie-break where Djokovic shows why he is such a legend of the sport.

The 37-year-old is imperious as he wins the tie-break 7-3 to take the first set.

More of the same gentlemen in the second set if you please!

Its their national sport. Haha of course they have the most innovation and most budget of any national team. Just imagine their teams budget for prep and training.

Tennis Men Final

2nd set in tie breaker again.

Djokovic 4-2 now.

Finally he won his 1st and likely last Olympic Gold medal.

Have to give it to him... His insistence of not having COVID vaccination saw him deported out of Australia during Aus Open in 2022.

A bit like Messi last chance to win world cup and won it.

Wah china vs Taiwan in men's doubles. Haha so much significance.

Taiwan is defending champion, hope to be the first men double to win 2 consecutive gold medals.

Poor thing Marin. She was beating up the chinese. Then injured her knee. Have to withdraw.

Chance of winning any medal gone liao.

Don't know her... but the comments seems rather unsympathetic like she is not a popular player 😬... could be bots too I suppose.

Some say she accused some china player faking injury in 2016.

I don't really like or dislike her but she was going to win until she injured herself so thought she deserved to go to the final.
