I will suggest Solar to just check directly with Polestar on how much they charge for each servicing interval. I don't think its super expensive considering not much is being done anyway 🤣

Shouldn't it be free servicing for 5yrs? At least that's what is offered down under. Thought it should be the same world wide.

Last time when I was still shopping around before my current XC40 EV I did ask what they include for Polestar 2 and it was told to me that free servicing isn't included for Polestar, so you pay as you use if you want to bring back your PS2 for servicing. This is different from Volvo. It's a bit strange as both are under Wearnes, but I guess they are still different brands. It's even more strange as you will still drop off your Polestar 2 at Volvo for servicing and any other aftersales issues [laugh]

anyway for my opinion EV car, Hybrid car and petrol they dun really protect environment.. only changes different driving experience, all these transportation need to use massive amount of energy to produce as well as large amount of energy to continue using it even so to disposal.. only thing is it project slogan differently..

If there something could output more energy that it can consume, then the equation will be different.. be it hydrogen (it very flammable, u need massive amount of energy to split it out from H20 which require also dead dino/plant million of years ago, electricity dun come alot from nature, it require to dead dino/plant million of years ago, even use of solar panel require massive amount of energy to make so as wind mill and battery)

Just buy what u like and worth what u spend on.

I think govt did not really penalize on ICE yet (tech for fuel economical and emission already at it limit), if more EV car mean govt need to source more energy as there will be a huge increase of energy demand .. this increase of energy dun come falling from sky,, u need to invest and research so that why there tax charges for EV even so electric tariff .. u wont want to charge half way.. half of city power plant trip somewhere or out of order. Govt only fix the emission requirement, trying hard to maintain the vehicle fleet within our land and emission limit as well as pocket money.

You got to be joking….

petrol tax is 66cents. That’s almost a 3rd of retail price of petrol. Although listed is $2.88, with credit card and whatever discounts. 30% discount is easily obtained. So one typically pays $2.

oops 😅.

Before the EV out decade ago.. i sure the petrol tax is already there but surely increase over the year especially after 2015 and 2021.

if carbon tax increases more on ICE it will be a real killer i guess.. this what i mean real targeted ICE.

Vehicle Emission Scheme (VES)

The VES is based on a vehicle's carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions and other pollutants. The pollutant with the highest emission value determines the vehicle's band and its corresponding VES rebate or surcharge.

Carbon Emissions-Based Vehicle Scheme (CEVS)

Cars with high carbon emissions are subject to a registration surcharge. The surcharge is between $5,000 and $30,000.
