I always say this to my kids.

Exams is just luck. You are lucky they ask you questions that you know the answer. 

And the more you study the luckier you will get.

This is the secret of Liverpool and the difference to Utd.

Utd have great players and great coaches and a lot money to buy more good players.

But Utd players are lazy. Play City all the players are up for it.

Run and run, close down City, tackle them, run behind and create opportunities. 

But play smaller teams do bother to turn up.

We have different values and long may it continue.

In the 70s Liverpool and Utd stayed at the same hotel.

Liverpool players when they all came down for dinner we're shocked to see.

The Utd players were all sitting in different tables. 2 or 3 at a table only eating with their clique.

Pool players moved all the tables to make one big one to eat together. 

This Liverpool value of togetherness fighting for each other,  no one is more important than the team is drilled into every player from day one.

We cannot afford the best individual players.

But we have the best team.

Well... I did mentioned that Slot's team is better in game management... Slot doesn't go full throttle like Klopp. Usually after going 2 goals up, Slot's team will keep possesion better and adopt a Rafa counter attack stance. He will bring in defensive players like Endo (and/or Gomez) to close off the game say in the 80th minute. This time he sub Jota, Nunez, Elliot and Jones in... maybe Slot wanted the team to continue high press. Jota is probably one of the best amongst our forwards in terms of pressing, Nunez is the crazy horse while Elliot and Jones offers more control and legs. Elliot might be brought in just to gain match fitness. Anyway Gakpo, Szoboszlai and Macca were all on yellow card and Slot obviously doesn't want to change the shape against Spurs. 

For some reason, Slot did not practise his usual habits. Maybe he knew something about the way Spurs play and decided to be less Slot but more Klopp. True enough, apart from the stupid 3-3 last season, we hardly lost under Klopp  when playing Spurs.

Looking at past incidents, if the team is displaying relegation form, the coach can be gone within the year.

Klopp asked for 4 seasons to win the league with Rodgers team. Slot inherits a much better team (with full preseason to prepare) and was handed a 3 yr contract, FSG/ Edwards probably expects him to win something within these three years. 

Slot would score an A if he achieved UCL qualification plus a winner medal for a cup competition in his first season. Will be interesting if Man City goes down or Guardiola leaves when his contract ends in 2025. 

Looking at my earlier post, I must say I thought Slot needed a transitional season but look at what he has done so far. Am impressed.

Game management, energy management and injury management. 

If we can play 70 mins, more rest and recovery time and less fatigue means less likely to be injured. 

Slot one of the best record for keeping players from injury in Holland.

All I wish for Xmas is a turkey. 

Oops I mean a Cherki.

All our goals and assists come from Salah. 

If Salah not playing then we rely on Jota but he is often injured.

So we have Diaz. His last goals in the League before Spurs was in Sep.

Then we have Gakpo he score one League goal every 3 or 4 games.

Rayan Cherki is a playmaker.

We need him to provide a lot of opportunities. 

Lyon will be relegated for overspending. 

25m would be a bargain for Cherki.

Santa you know what we want for Xmas.

Can we maintain the 4pt lead?

Will Robbo keep his place or will Tsimikas start at LB against low scoring Leocester?

With Gravenberch and Macca expected to contain the attacking threat from Leicester, will Slot stick to on form Zsoboslai or let Elliot function as no. 10?

Will Slot surprised everyone by naming Nunez as no. 9 flanked by Salah and Diaz?

No prize for guessing who will start in goal :D
