Now he might start in central defense... after league cup experiment and Gravenberch covering CB in Fulham game. We can sort of overload by pushing him into midfield and push one of our number 6 (eg Macca) to play as 2nd no. 10 when pouring forward in attack.

You were right... Elliot only score our second goal after the 30th min.

Anyway, unlike Klopp's team, Slot's team can win by scoring 2 goals first.... game management is better under his tactics.

FSG is willing to spend if the right players are available... remember how we snatch Diaz from Spurs and Gakpo from Man u? Chiesa is a good player if not for his injury history. He cost less than what we got for selling Minamino.

Endo was good.  The home team scored only cos they kick the ball at his face to stop him.  Otherwise they dunno how to play past him!! 😂😂

Pool is lucky to have top professionals like Endo and Gomez.  When called upon, regardless for 90 minutes or 9 minutes, they always put in a top shift, every time.

Well, FSG's stinginess enables us to have funds to sign players if they are right. Players like Bellingham and Mbappe are obvious good buys but I don't think we will ever sign someone like them. 

Anyway I guess it's pretty clear that we need to buy a new LB (and RB if TAA decides to leave). FSG might be careful in spending but Edwards will know we need reinforcements. 

Hughes will have a network of scouts looking at players instead different positions.

Am not surprised if they are still working hard to look for possible replacements for VVD, Salah and TAA these two weeks. 

Klopp might not be the best person to decide who to sign. The new set up enables the head coach to decide what kind of players he need and Hughes will probably shortlist those players for Slot to choose from. This model has worked well... Klopp wanted Nunez but not sure if Slot will consider someone like him. Having said that, Bellingham is good enough to play in our midfield but he might not be available or fit into our budget.

Endo looks like a big occasion player meaning he will rise to the challenge and perform when needed. He can play in CB for sure. He might not be the first name that Slot pick but with Konate injured, who knows. 

Anyway we know that Slot doesn't prefer Endo in no. 6 role so this might be a good chance for Endo.

Liverpool will take on Tottenham in the semi-final of the Carabao Cup, after spurs beat ManU in a 4-3 thriller.

Arsenal will face Newcastle in the other last four tie with the final at Wembley in mid-March.

I don't feel comfortable when saw Szo & Jones play together. Think both don't cover enough defensive duty.

Can only play Mac-Graven and Szo or Jones.

Szoboszlai and Jones ran their hearts out vs Fulham.. Szoboszlai can play as no. 6 if required.

Probably the best option out of the three? Newcastle can be tricky and Arsenal probably the best amongst the three.

i feel otherwise... these 2 are not the typical DMs aka mascherano / lucas.

they rely a lot on technique to get themselves out of trouble and immediately can distribute effectively offensively

Szo is the more unique one, sometimes think he dun do much, choose wrong balls etc, but wo him, pool play lower down the pitch. thats just my feeling though

@Raymondism  That's because Pool down to 10 man. You don't see them do that in normal match.

Szo & Jones both prefer to move into advance role so often left Graven cover back 4 in normal match.

But off course they deserved the praise during Fulham match
