3 home games now for Liverpool before the next International break.

(H) Brighton
(H) Bayer Leverkusen (CL)
(H) Aston Villa

Important to keep the momentum going. AV typically dont play well at Anfield so lets hope it continues.

City is still top but expected to drop more points in the next couple of months due to the ongoing injury crisis.  Any team which wishes to take the crown from them have to capitalise and pull away with a healthy lead. City will usually become perfect with a long winning run in the final 3rd of the season.

Liverpool 2 - 1 Brighton.

After a frankly forgettable and awful 1st half whereby we went a goal down, the team came storming back with goals from Gakpo and Salah!

With both Arsenal and ManC losing, it’s simply wonderful that we are back on top of the league.

Still early days, but let’s enjoy the moment.

Next up, vs Leverkusen in CL.

All the subs worked well.

Curtis Jones again to the rescue and Endo did well to break up the Brighton play.

Gomes is indeed a worthy sub in many roles

Positions that need new blood or strengthening:

CB - VVD old, Konate and Gomez injury prone.. Quansah still not stable

RB - TAA whether he stays or not

LB - Robbo old

RW - Salah

No. 6 - let Morton play more

No. 10 - hopefully Elliot will recover fast

No. 9 - Jota injury prone.. Nunez still in space...

After 10 games, we are top of the league with 8 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss.

Though we lament the home loss against Forest, it was a pleasant surprise to see Forest sitting at 3rd. Our only draw was against currently 4th placed Gunners.

We faced 5th placed Villa next weekend. We should have a better idea of our title credentials come 2 Dec at Anfield after playing Man City and  completing the first round of facing top 6 teams.

Ibrahima Konate reveals “injury isn’t serious” and “will be ready for next game.

Was substituted during the game vs Brighton when apparently his hand/arm was stepped upon by VvD.

Some oversea pool forums label endo as "closes". 😁😁😁

Once he come on the game is virtually over for both teams. 👍
