But he's more of a left and centre forward right footed player...a mix of diaz and jota...

good win and still top of the league.  Best goal difference and least goals conceded after 7 games.  Slot is the best Pool manager on record over the 1st 10 competitive games with 9 wins.

The tough run of fixtures will come fast and furious after this round of internationals.   Alisson is likely to be out for a few weeks... hopefully not months by the way he reacted with frustration and distraught.

It's nice to be top, even though it's early days.

Slot is best manager on record, but that's partly cos in recent times, most of the managers who left, had it real tough towards the end - that's why they had to go... Klopp though, left on his own accord, and the team has started to rebuild before he left, so the players around, while not all are world beaters, are at least decent players. So that helps Slot with getting the results so far.

What is more, City has not been firing in all cylinders, and Rodri is out... and Pool has not met any real strong team so far, so sterner tests will come soon.

Hopefully Pool's confidence and luck can continue...

And to be honest, i haven't been very impressed with (the performance of) quite a few matches. But results-wise, can't complain much. Midweek in UCL, opponents were more impressive for a few stretches, but they were unfortunately (fortunately for Pool) not clinical enough. Against Palace also rode on luck... too often there doesn't seem t be much urgency and palace looked to want it more...

Hope the international break will not break the rhythm, and can beat Chelsea in the next match. Slot says Allison could be out for a while... hopefully won't be too long. Allison has seen a lot of action this season, pulling off so many important saves. If he's out for extended period, can only hope Kelleher can cover for him well...

See, I told you not to play Bruno, Rashford, Eriksen, Garnacho and Mainoo behind Hojlund in 4-5-1 formation.

Should had played 4-3-3 :we-all-gonna-die:

Redbull have number of top clubs under their umbrella. :we-all-gonna-die:

From the report I read, he will be training those "coachers/managers", youngsters, youth and scouting for top players for the clubs under Redbull. [smash]

Jurgen Klopp secures first job since Liverpool exit with specific clause included

Jurgen Klopp will become the new Global Head of Soccer at Red Bull, in his first return to football since leaving Liverpool.

The 57-year-old will start work at the beginning of January in advising all Red Bull teams on a range of issues, including philosophy and transfers.

It is believed that Klopp has also included an exit clause in his contract to allow him to take charge of the German national team in the future.

Julian Nagelsmann earlier this year signed a contract that will keep him in place as Germany manager until after the World Cup in 2026, but Klopp is viewed as a potential successor.

"After almost 25 years on the sideline, I could not be more excited to get involved in a project like this," Klopp said as his position at Red Bull was made official.

"The role may have changed but my passion for football and the people who make the game what it is has not."

He had said, not a frontline job where he had to be at the touchline. [sly]

More sort of Office job where he will be running from behind a desk. :we-all-gonna-die:

Below Redbull CEO and above the rest. :a-toast:

His contract has  a clause that he can leave anytime when called upon to manage German Nation Team. [smash]

Supercharged

so long as these players are still keen to play for Pool, I feel the chances of recontract remains good.  This may means moderation of salary expectations along the way. the likes of VVD and Salah should realise that a pay cut is not out of the conversation as they approach the sunset years.

The more worrying case is Trent, who is now attracting the attention of Real.  this type of mindgames are starting to happen and any extension deal with Trent will be complicated. They got Myappe for free this season after the protracted to and from from PSG.   wont be surprised Trent will follow the same example of Real doing these lowball effort. they have the highest appeal as a all-star football club  so it depends on Trent whether he wants to fulfil his boyhood dream to be captain of Pool or fall into the dreamland of endless trophies with Real.
