Liverpool went on to win the League Cup, the league, and the European Cup that season, and we had a certain striker called Ian_rush. Replace Ian rush with Salah. Back then, fifth round no asernal, no chelsea, no leed United and no Liverpool. That was Joe Fagan first season with us! Fooblack Supercharged 6 hours ago Share 6 hours ago Looks like rumors on Nunez leaving is gathering some steam as it was revealed that Nunez was actually quite close to leaving in the Jan window. In the summer, it will ultimately depend on the transfer fee which Pool will want to recoup most if not all the fees paid. Player wise, wont be surprised he will be keen provided the financials make sense. This summer could well be a good timing esp if Nunez continues to feature only as a squad player for the rest of the season. He is definitely capable to nail down a 1st team no.9 position in a a different set up/team. I suspect if Salah is not renewed, the club will go big to buy a marquee player to appease the fans, recycle the transfer fees recouped on Nunez and the salary budget freed up.
