the only problem last Sat... was how boring it was.  totally routine and so little drama except for the goal conceded on a corner which was poorly defended.

Otherwise, Pool couldnt have asked for a more routine and boring game to rack up another 3 points.  At this rate, Pool probably need another 10-12 wins out of its remaining 16 games to claim the title. the number is counting down.

Next up is Bournemouth away. B is the form team of the EPL so wont be an easy game at all. Forest was thrashed 5-0 over the weekend and Newcastle the week before.

Hope to see a rotated side starting against PSV... let Kelleher, Quansah, Bradley, Endo, Tsimikas start at the back with Gravenberch and Szoboszlai protecting them... Elliot, Chiesa and Nunez should join Gakpo up from on his return to PSV...

VVD, Macca, Salah, Diaz and Danns on the bench.

What do you think?

@Fooblack Ehhh, at this point in time, I am actually perfectly fine with a boring game but 3 points in the bag. The difference between Klopp and Slot is that Slot knows when to play steady and boring as compared to Kloop's all out football.

Agreed. If we continue to play boring games by scoring 1 goal each in the first 10min of both halves for all remaining league games. We will not only win the league title, we will be serious contender for the other 3 trophies as well...

Slot, being Dutch, might want to beat PSV. Gravenberch was from Ajex, will be raring to put some damage on PSV. Gakpo, might look forward to play against his old team. :D

I agreed. Probably he will start RG, Sobo and Havey in midfield. I suspect salah, Gakpo might start as well. In defence probably VD, QS, CB and Ti.

personal sentiments shouldnt get in the way of a professional match. Pool has already qualified for the next round and needs only a draw to top the table.  Well, on paper, this match is not really a contest so Slot should be relaxed and play a smart hand in resting the key players.   If you ask me what is the greatest risk to the team's challenging for all 4 competitions.. it will be injuries.  So, it is important to watch the mileage of the players esp key ones like VVD. Salah, TAA and Gravenberch.

1-0 can be bad for my heart... lol

Jokes aside... the reason why I think Gravenberch and Zsoboslai will start is becos both were sub out at 68th min against Ipswich despite the second half being described as probably less intense than a normal attack - defense training session... Due to these two playing double pivot, I think VVD might start on the bench with Endo partnering Quansah.

Elliot is due for a start at no. 10 with Chiesa playing on the right capable of interchanging their positions. Gakpo and Nunez can complete the attacking mahjong gang.

If we play our boring game and led by 2 goals in the first half, won't be surprised to see VVD, Macca and Salah or Diaz coming in at 6Xth min to replace Gravenberch, Zsoboslai and Elliot/ Chiesa.

Maybe our 17 yo future midfield star Nyoni might play some minutes as well...
