Kerkez Robbo's under study.

SoBossy is his captain so has Kerkez phone number and Richard Hughes signed him for Bornemouth so has his agent's phone number.

Kerkez used to play for AZ Alkmaar and so Slot also knows him from the Dutch League and Slot was AZ Alkmaar manager but left before Kerkez joined Jan 2022.

@Raymondism  That's because Pool down to 10 man. You don't see them do that in normal match.

Szo & Jones both prefer to move into advance role so often left Graven cover back 4 in normal match.

But off course they deserved the praise during Fulham match

Think they are just doing what the coach wants since Gravenberch usually takes up the deep no. 6 role. Zsoboslai is a classic box to box midfielder and he is the no. 10 most of the time. Jones has come in as the other no. 6 in quite a few games. Unlike under Klopp, the first defensive action of Slot's team is not pressing but keeping possession. Almost all our midfielders are ball players except for our auxiliary CB Endo. That is perhaps why Slot doesn't think Endo has a future in his team. If we managed to sign Zubimendi earlier, I think Endo will be sold.

i feel otherwise... these 2 are not the typical DMs aka mascherano / lucas.

they rely a lot on technique to get themselves out of trouble and immediately can distribute effectively offensively

Szo is the more unique one, sometimes think he dun do much, choose wrong balls etc, but wo him, pool play lower down the pitch. thats just my feeling though

Defending is always team effort. No. 6 these days are unlike the midfield destroyer in the past. After winning the league, Thiago was signed as a press resistent no. 6 and to inject creativity at the same time. To be honest, he isnt that good defensively but he hardly lose the ball and always able to wiggle past those pressing him. Clearly, we were trying to upgrade our work horse midfield with better ball players. Not sure whether this was driven by coaches or statistics.

Creative deep lying playmaker no 6 started by Klopp to his credit because we had too many draws from low block park the bus teams.

Thiago was very good when he was fit but unfortunately he was often injured.

In fact Rodgers was the first to implement having a deep lying playmaker at the base of the midfield with a box to box no. 8 supporting the attack with a ball recycler like Welsh Xavi Joe Allen keeping the ball in midfield. Rodger's idea quite similar to Slot but somehow he couldn't implement it with the players he bought.

Yes that's right.

He wanted to play one touch passing football.

But at the beginning they not used to it so he told them play 2 touch football.

One touch to control, one touch to pass with Welsh Xavi to recycle.

In a way this helped Klopp play passing football although Klopp emphasised pressing high.

Slot winning is continuation of the progress under all previous managers.

But all the ball playing players love Slot ball except destroyer Endo.

Liverpool will spend money if the right players is available

at a bargain basement price.

We don't want to be like Utd buy the worse players at the highest prices.

One just came up Rayan Cherki the 21-year-old Lyon star that will cost just £12.4 million available in January.

He will give us another option as a 10 supporting SoBossy and Elliot but can also play on the right wing if Salah needs a rest or Chiesa is injured and also on the left with Diaz and Gakpo.

I think he can also play as a false 9 or as a second striker with a big target man like Nunez.

Endo can be more than a destroyer.. we know he can slot in at no. 6 and now at centre back... one day when we need an aggressive no. 9, the coach should try Slotting Endo there... he has quite good scoring record for a defensive mid. :D

Diaz is a better centre forward than Nunez and a better left winger than Gakpo and he only earns 40k a week.
