the best thing that happened was postponing the derby... many of our players are jaded and their performance start to dip. eg Gravenberch & Robbo.

TAA no doubt is the easiest pick to renew as he will have better resale value though am not sure he is captain quality and really important to Slot's set up. However, VVD was the most likely to sign amongst the three. Salah is likely to ask for the highest wages though whiles he is now compared to Thierry Henry.

I just don't want to go back to Souness era where we are stuck with many expensive aging players.

TAA not captain material, no Liverpool play in my memory talk about winning the ballon'or  or some individual honors.

well, RM cant buy the trophy for Vinicus, he should join Milan

1st half Pool wasted a lot of time knocking the ball around with no real intent. Only woke up after Girona took back possession and played with real threat.

Hope for a better 2nd half.

A hard fought away win against the surprise package of La liga last season, courtesy of a Salah penalty.

We needed Alisson (making a welcome return) to keep us in the game.

We were somewhat a bit slower to close them down (surprising considered we did not play over the weekend while they did).

It’s 6 wins out of 6, so can’t really argue with the results.

While mathematically still not assured, this result should see us finishing in the top 8, thereby allowing the team a “bye” into the knock out rounds (teams 9-24) play one another over 2 legs).

With 2 free up mid week game slots, hopefully can rest a bit n perhaps that’s when the postponed Merseyside derby can take place.

YNWA.

Not only pool...i tink all epl teams have tall players as cb...there's no other way when many number 9 in the league are very tall

only exception to the tall CB rule i can remember was mescherano, who played CB for Barca. still dun understand how he managed it (decently well)...

was surprised that match was 1.45 am instead of 4 am, so stayed up to watch.

was end-to-end in the first ~20 min, wasted good chances on one hand, and then needed Allison to prevent conceding at the other.

overall not impressed by Pool throughout the match, and find that the team is - still - clueless about how to break down bus parkers, as Girona is. Just didn't create enough real chances and when they finally did, the final strike was not potent enough...

still a win. and that's good. The one potential issue is that while being top of the UCL table is by right good and advantages cos it will avoid meeting other top teams early, this season is strange cos BM, RM, PSG, AM, City all struggling, and might end up being mid table if they qualify... so might end up meeting them... 😅

Hope to continue winning ways in the league.

Klopp side is spectacular with 4 - 3 wins and goals in extra time. Heavy metal football.

Slot side win 1 - 0, 2 - 0.

This side play like Slot character.

Very calm, very thoughtful, very systematic, very controlled football.

Its like we are in second gear and coasting along.

But this methodical approach means we beat the champions of Germany, the champions of England, the champions of Spain and the champions of Europe.

Not in a very spectacular way in a efficient but almost unexciting way.

Pass, pass, pass, score. Pass, pass, pass, score.

Maybe we will be really successful winning this way.

But its also because Slot hasn't got any of his style players in yet.

When he starts buying I think he will combine efficient with really exciting football.

Slot buys all the no name players and make them 50 - 60 million pound players.

Nunez should be a central defender.

He is big, strong and fast and will never score an own goal

because he will always pass to the keeper

or kick it high and wide and never into the net.

:D

Slot does not get the credit he deserves.

Top in Europe and top in the league.

Nobody heard to Slot before he came.

People say he is not the big name a club like Liverpool needs.

He wins and people say we never played any worthy teams.

We beat the champions of Germany, the champions of England, the champions of Spain and the champions of Europe.

I know Klopp is many people's favourite but he is a lucky manager.

Because of Couti 150m we got VVD and Alisson and that's why we won the CL and PL.

The transfer committee also had to twist his arm to get Salan because Klopp wanted to get Julian Brandt. If people ask Julian who? Exactly.

I also think Edwards and so many of the transfer committee left because they didn't want to work with Klopp anymore.

Nunez is a Klopp decision.

As soon as Klopp left Edwards came back and brought the equally talented Hughes.

So we have to salute Klopp because he saw that if he goes the club will be more successful.

Klopp did the most noble thing and resigned so that the club can progress.

Thank you Klopp.
