Salah, VVD and TAA not in Liverpool 2025 2nd half calendar poster..... :wut:

Liverpool club shop drops Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk transfer hint

Liverpool fans have been left fearing the worst over the futures of Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk... because of a calendar.

The trio are all out of contract at the end of the season, and there has been little progress over agreeing extensions.

Van Dijk last month confirmed that he is in talks with the club, but admitted his future remains very much up in the air.

"I can say obviously discussions are ongoing, but I don't know, we will see what happens in the future," Van Dijk said. "My full focus is on Liverpool, wanting to win games that are ahead of me and nothing else.

The 2025 edition is currently on sale in the official club shop, and the eagle-eyed among us have spotted that Alexander-Arnold, Salah and Van Dijk have been given February, March and April.

The suggestion being that, should the trio all leave, their faces will not be adorning walls across Merseyside into the autumn and winter months.

Goalkeeper Alisson Becker kicks off the year with the January spread, so perhaps fans should be fearing his departure given Giorgi Mamardashvili’s summer arrival.

Klopp brought in Gakpo to be a false 9 to replace Firmino but Slot can see his best position is as left winger.

Klopp bought Nunez to be out and out centre forward but Nunez is a very good false 9 and natural Firmino replacement and Slot saw that

Klopp bought Gravel Patch to be a no 8 but Slot saw he was a natural no 6.

Gravel Patch looks a better no 6 than 100m Rice pudding.

When was the last time Arsenal won?

Gravel also looks so much better than 115m CanSayNo and 60m Lavia.

I am sure Liverpool wants to keep all 3 if price was right.

But 400k a week for TAA?

300k for VVD?

350k for Salah?

so TAA costs 40x bradley...

while i do agree that TAA is better than bradley on a good day, i'm not sure he's worth that much.

granted bradley should deserve more if he keeps developing and improving, but still not sure will justify 400kpw for TAA...

Doubt so. Earlier reports did claimed he want to win the Ballon d'Or as defender.

Need to go dig up the media reports.

Honestly if you ask me interm of team contribution I would weight salah and vvd above him. Interm of finance definitely he is much more valuable given his age. We are going to lose him for free.

Honestly I don't think he is worth paying 400kpw. He did mentioned that he wants to be Liverpool captain. Slot doesn't want his full backs to over commit in attack. Let's see.

Pool's GK needs to be a ball-player.  Not sure if the new one is as good as the current players so I will hold my horses until I see him in action...

Anyway it make sense to buy Mamar. He can be a Minamino type of buy and could be our no. 1 for next 10 years. Who knows if some big club suddenly decides to submit an irresistible bid for him... we have good no. 2 and 3 goalie as back up.

It's had ben known that 90% of players leaving Liverpool after successful sting at the club will fail elsewhere. [sly]

From the past, players like Michael Owen, Mcmanaman, P Coutino, Origi, Gigi, Henderson, Torres, .... etc. couldn't made it. :slow:

Only rare few able to thrived like Ian Rush & Kevin Keegan. :secret-laugh:

We can then buy  back at a lower price like what did with Rush :D

Gravenberch can be a no. 8 as well if we can get a suitable no. 6 like Zubimendi

The best thing to do is to hunt for a younger replacement that can be groomed. Like I mentioned before, I would renew VVD as he can attract young defenders who would like to play along side one of the greatest CB.

Salah is good but he has slowed down a lot compared to the past. Maybe he can be converted to a no. 10 role  but who knows if he will suffer a sudden decline... afterall he is already 32...

TAA, creative as he is, I think Slot prefers a right back to fulfill his defensive duties first before making forays up front. We have Bradley, though not exactly TAA 2.0, he can walk into most EPL team.

I remember Salah, VVD, Thiago, TAA plus Matip also costs around 1mil pee week. Both Thiago and Matip left on free transfer to lower our wage bill. It just doesn't  make sense to spend 1Mpw to retain the three.

VVD and Salah has to understand that their new contract will come with a lower wage with better incentives.

Though we don't like FSG for being stingy, I like the way they treat this as a proper business. We have a lower net spend than many EPL teams. This should be the way forward. Slot has done well so far. It's time for Richard Hughes to bring food to the table.

I would sell TAA to RM for $150 millions pound and keep Bradley. :we-all-gonna-die:
