Looked very impressive for the 10mins or so i watched before the 3rd goal.  

The coordinated press and discipline was great. 

 

Impressed by Slot's interviews post match. He seems to have clear ideas of what he wants to do with the tactics.

I think what Slot wants to do was to drag the opponent defensive shape to one side then recycle the ball into zone 14 (just outside the 18 yard box) then the player with the ball in zone 14 has many options to slice the defence open.

Ha it's not difficult to understand. But how to coach players to do it is  difficult. You are talking 3 different lines of players. Defensive shapes. 

Basic principles of football

- create overload 2 v 1 or 3 v 2

- break the lines 

- recycle quickly for the above to happen

What I like is that Slot seems like a football nerd and yet can command the footballers respect. Like Benitez had some trouble with the EQ part of the game.

Might be why a new contact for Salah might be slow moving. 

main issue is cos Edwards is super famous for not keen to offer contracts to players > 30 year old esp those on high wages.  This will be a ongoing tussle between Mgr and mgt. 

Salah has fired the first salvo in the face of the mgt...  3 goals in 3 games and various assists... he is still Pool's best player

Slot's personality is being stamped into the team's overall play.  Less emotional, more measured and calmness.  that is the greatest change I can visibly see. the players on the pitch are basically still the same but they play abit slower when in normal possession. The same speed under Klopp for counter attacks will be activated when needed.

It's not that difficult... make the players go through drills... then select the players who can follow his instructions. 

Maybe the tricky part is designing those drills and having the right players. 

Let's see how the team fares after 10 games... the other 19 clubs are analyzing Slot ball and trying to counter it....

So far only one criticism of slot. He is giving too much away tactically during press conference. Team will learn and eventually find way to nullify our attack.

Yeah he need to learn to talk more about non specifics.

At least the players seem to understand. As opposed to ETH. I dunno if it's the players problem more or the coaching problem. 

One mistake and the team shape collapses.

He is helping & showing other teams how to beat ManU tactically at Old Trafford.

another clear sign of Salah's unhappiness on the contract situation ... where he was unusually vocal after the game... is the likelhood that Pool is beginning to prepare for life w/o him with the peculiar purchase of Chiesa... mean we have the stingiest owner in town and we are stockpiling our forwards when there are other more obvious gaps in the squad...

Attack on the left and the other army moves to the left to block.

Attack on the right they will move right to block.

Move the ball fast enough and the opponent get caught out and leaves a gap.

See a gap in zone 14 and attack there.

ETH 2 years 5 transfer windows

no one knows how he wants his team to play.

A5 3 games and all the players knows how he wants to play.

Most of the MU players are bought by ETH so a bit hard to say not his players.

we got him because he is a tactical genius.

We should also support ETH.

The players he bought are not good enough

and not smart enough to understand his instructions.
