In Philippines the motorcycle cops using Honda Cubs have to pay their own petrol.

So when they tried to pull over my PH colleague he will accelerate and after a while the cop will give up.

Not worth wasting his petrol.

in a hit and run situation, insurer will not care about the claims as long as the culprit does not report to his insurer.

It is no diff from this situation.

I am not sure what person can prove, cyclist could claim it was already damaged.
Remember the case when cyclist break side mirror of lorry and lorry uncle side swap him, later lorry guy was jailed. So either you suck it up and move on or else get ready to be shafted once they drag you for causing hurt.

I remember someone said before need to allow 1.5m distance when overtaking bicycles. So this cam car driver also a bit kwai lan lah. Neber slow down some more.  😁
