What's the price gap?

I'm also considering a freed if Coe drops.

Altis depending on standard or premium going around 160 to 170 before various discounts. Take note toyota is going all out now for market share. Sure aggressive offers.

Honda freed also about same range lor depending on fittings.

That's why comparing.

Altis looks nice... but Freed is hybrid plus bigger, though being hybrid,  the rear seat floor board is higher and not as comfy as altis.

How?

depends on your needs (do you have young kids, or elderly and need to ferry many people for short trips?).

I would personally go for hybrid just because it is fuel efficient. The eHEV is a nice hybrid system to drive.

From what I know Honda eHEV does not have a true transmission despite it being called e-CVT, so I THINK there are less mechanical components. Usually this translate to more reliablity.

KM is offering a 10 year warranty on the hybrid battery I think.

Btw I am not technical at this so take it with a grain of salt hahaha.

Honda eHEV does not have a gearbox.

There is a clutch to connect electric motor or engine to driving wheels

Clutch is the only mechanical part.

Honda hybrid battery ventilation does not have a net to prevent dirt getting in.

actually at higher speeds, above 60, there's still no gearbox for the mechanical engine part?

Above 80km/h, it switches directly to Engine with a final drive

Altis can drive 20 years though this basic engine admittedly not great FC compared to hybrids.

Up to you what u prefer. But if u drive around quite a bit, the hybrid should help a lot. probably another 4km/L easy on a daily basis. the 1.5 eHEV should be not difficult to reach 18-19km/L on a city driving basis in SG.

Visited Honda just now.

Freed elegance Expect about 170k

Toyota 145 to 155... offers thrown in.

Surprisingly,  hyundai avante the hybrid also 170k region. I used to think hyundai would be cheaper.... I long time no car hunting liao.

I'm guessing hybrid won't ever reach 20 years ... whatever battery would be obsolete long before.

But then... 20 years from now, dunno still got Petrol car in Singapore boh... probably taxed to death too.

At current price diff of 15 to 25k... altis slight edge even if higher fc.🤔

For Toyota hybrid. No problem. Many examples of hundreds of thousands of km usage.

Honda and Nissan honestly doesn't have that kind of long term track record as ehev or e power itself is only a few years old.

For my driver mileage a hybrid may save $100/mth petrol compared to pure ICE.. that only adds up to $12k in 10yrs.. so me also wondering if worth the extra to go for hybrid.
