Depends on model. But some Seat are equal with VW (like Leon/Golf).

Elgrand look more like a squarish box because of petrol engine which require the front grill. :secret-laugh:

I was curios about the cos for this car. It seems practical but not really my style. But perhaps there are some hidden gems.

1. Cheaper than Alphard by more than $100k

2. Bigger than Alphard in width, wheel base and length. Lost only in height but advantage is that 90% of car parks in SG can enter. (car park height of 1.9m can enter). Maxus MIFA 9 is 1.840m.

3.  Maxus was in the market for more than 18 years and so reliability not an issue. They started as commercial van and their first MPV is the G10 which I still see many on the road.

4. The main company, SAIC brought over British company MG (Morris Garage) and adopted the expertise of MG engines.

There are so many vehicle companies that form in in China for the past 5 years and I only trust 3 brands from China. They are BYD, Maxus and Nio. This new companies had yet to proof their vehicles worth although their designs are up to date.

SAIC, GAC & BAIC are the OG Govt owned carmakers.

SAIC is known outside of China because of SAIC VW.

MG was bought by Nanjing Motor, which was subsequently bought by SAIC.

Maxus van originated from Leyland design which SAIC bought.

Now selling well in HK which also due to the price against Alphard.

A sister Maxus MPV (smaller version) coming to HK. It is called Maxus MIFA 7.

Wonder MIFA 7 will be coming to SG.

Same size as my current Biante. :we-all-gonna-die:

Saw this link on Facebook.

Alphard: 107k - 116k

Margin

MIFA 9: 41k - 50k

1st Gear

Any Mifa9 owners group? also collected my ride end March. Very spacious, range is quite good. But like what many bros say, need to watch out in smaller/older carparks. Already bua once but lucky can touch up. The cameras and sensors help. Once on the road, no issue. Pick up is good, power delivery is instant.

Thanks a lot for explanation. You really put too much details into it. Appreciate it.

And I've heard a lot of good things about BYD. Not sure about the rest of the car makers you've mentioned.
