Many only see high pay but ignore the part that he has to spend 10 to 15 hours a day nearly all year long. There is no need to earn so much,if one really has no saving at this age, just earn enough to get by with some small incremental saving is good enough, otherwise if there  is saving, just try to spend off the money.

I have a taxi driver  friend at about 70 yo now, he sub let his car to 3 other drivers , so each of them just have to drive for 3 to 4 days of their respective shift per week, i see this as a good idea, no need to work so hard during old age.

Hearsay drive the limo cab/van for tourists is quite high-paying too. And some of the work hours just involves waiting while the tourists go do their thing.

Turbocharged

I still prefer to take no pay and just retire young when still healthy.

Don't need to have extra loads of money. Just need enough.

There is more to life than just spending ridiculous hours at work for money.

Maybe still can earn more money from the tips given by tourists.

Got any age limit to become driving instructor at driving school or not?

Speaking of driving instructor. Just now saw one car with a P plate, i assume the driver should just got his/her driving licence, stopped at a slip road very long trying to filter out to the main road, like want to move but don’t want to move like that. Noticed there was a few time no car liao or cars very far behind on the main road, but this driver still don’t dare to filter out. Saw few cars infront of me overtake this car to filter out. And when my turn behind this car, saw that the car wanted to drive out but stopped suddenly, luckily my reaction was fast, if not bang onto the car siah!

Wonder where and how this person got his/her licence from, if no guts to drive, then better don’t get a driving licence. He/she would get others people into accident sooner. 😅

Think at that age he is just working to pass the time. Also enjoy teaching and meeting people from all walks of life.

Older people also like company and chit chat. If not working stay at home only face the four walls of the room.

My driving instructor is private. From what I see is quite good money la. Easily 400 to 500 per day in the early 2000s. All cash transaction, income tax can don't pay. Lol.

True, that’s why you always see older people like to hang around in RC.
