She should be ok. Her shoulder got 3 or 2 flowers at least.  Her rank Likely to be chief or head of some investigation team. High level in Australia police force.  Family said so. She even tried to do cpr on the perpetrator after shooting him. 😄

I thought it was just a regular beat cop.
but how come she's in uniform, inspector need to patrol meh? lol.

In SG, inspector also no need patrol mah unless on a mission.

Quoted.

An Inspector is a commissioned rank in our police forces. These officers are pretty senior and most of the time their role isn't everyday police work. An inspector might, in some cases, be a senior specialist investigator, but most inspectors would be engaged in leadership or executive roles. For an inspector to be the first responder to an incident like this is very rare.

According to news, she was on patrol alone on Bondi Beach.

She was the 1st responder on site.

High rank should be on front lines

and not hiding in the office.

Unless want to do nothing

and just take salary.

First thought as well given the on going weekly pro Palestine protests in Sydney now. Disrupting traffic/Trams services. 🤔

So perpetrator is a Qld whose only recently moved to nsw. Advertised his service in social escort Web page. Seeking free accommodation for tutoring English lesson. "Companionship" for surging buddy. Look like a loser in life all in all.

There is no need to post such challenging wordings.

Even in Sydney people on social media were speculating the perpetrator was related with the current Middle East saga. Pro Palestine protests.

It was mentioned she was in the area for another unrelated matter but I guess when the call went out she was the first to physically respond.

I give her props for going in alone. Hindsight may say she was foolish to do so; instead of waiting for reinforcements, but this is a very situational and personal call to make.

By doing so she most likely saved lives. And she definitely showed that she can still do grunt work.

Definitely not on patrol duty as some news media reported. She would be with a partner on patrol then.  Likely some unrelated matters.

Did shop at that woolies with wifey a few years back. i meant woolworth.😁

Another look at this situation.

Most of us guys are NS trained. Significant numbers are even in senior combat leadership positions.

In a situation like this,  logically we are more qualified than most newbie .. even nsf.. police IF they even happen to be on scene.

It's a bit like John in Diehard... do we run or do we try at least something until the cavalry arrives. 😅

Stated he had mental illness.

Maybe haven't found job for a period of time so even more desperate and depressed then snapped.

The forensic likely testing if he had alcohol or drugs in his blood.
