I tested the system long time ago.

From Punggol via KPE, I set CC to 90km/h.

No issue until speed limits reduced to 70km/h.

I mean this new red light cam + speed camera, e.g 50 zone if you go 55 will it snap? Or at which speed will you get snapped?

They can be stopped from entering once Road tax expires.

New road tax information has to be entered at LTA office.

That’s where they suppose to pay all outstanding summons.

It depends on whether LTA is obliged to do other ppl work.

I heard MY car was told to pay $2k fine before allow to enter

i would say rarely. see so many malaysian motorbikes with fines still zooming around like flies.

you test and let us know? should be safe if you travel within GPS speed limits, which is typically 5-10% lower than indicated on the dash cluster.

I will try it on my road bike, and turn around see if there's flash 🤣

In Sg, even if have adaptive cruise control, better not rely on it fully as we have relatively narrower expressway lanes and lots of road hoggers and lane splitting jiuhu bikes....

You don't want your car to suddenly ebrake because it detects a lane splitting jiuhu bike in the peripheral sensors...😅

With local driving conditions, i hate using adaptive cruise control during peak hours. It's machiam like an open invitation to drivers around to pls cut in front of me without signalling in advance.

To be clear, nothing wrong with giving way, but when u use adaptive cruise control and someone cuts in, the resultant e-brake not very pleasant. E-brake after e-brake, wah kao, after a while just gave up adaptive cruise control.

Non peak hrs is fine as traffic is more smooth flowing.

IMHO.
A car can have 3 speed - actual speed, speedometer and GPS.  All 3 can be different.
If at 50km/h, I will take up to another 8%.

Most ACC behave this way, usually there's a gap between you and the front vehicle, and if a vehicle cuts in, the ACC will brake and the gap will be wider, the braking part isn't very pleasant..

I guess maybe across brands, different algorithms.   My ACC doesn't really e-brake abruptly.  If very slow moving traffic,  the gap is very short and my vehicle will sort of "tag along" behind.  At higher speed,  if there is a cut in within the pre-determined gap,  so far have not experience e-braking.

Myself, if i am on ACC at a set speed,   if I pre-determine that a scenario will be challenging,  I can just tap on the accelerator and narrow the gap and thereafter, allow the ACC to normalize the gap again.

Not really e brake per se, but definitely harder than your manual braking..

the problem I see with ACC that is still not perfect, is that it cannot sense beyond radar and the car immediately infront of you.

In normal human driver controlled situation, I will also look ahead of the car directly in front to anticipate a jam ahead and slow down/lightly depress my brake in anticipation that I will might come to a stop very soon. That is even before the car in front even start to brake. That makes for a smoother drive for the driver and the passengers.

Most ACC these days just use radar.

So, visual sensing like brake light sensing, real time traffic condition input from the car GPS to anticipate low/jammed traffic ahead to modulate the ACC is only limited to the top of the line conti models...many a times these are subscription services.

Neutral Newbie

Thank you for sharing this update. It's important for drivers to be aware of the activation of speed enforcement in red-light cameras starting April 1. Safety measures like this help in reducing accidents and promoting responsible driving.

Just override the system lo.

I used to drive ACC set at 140km/h on NSHW.

The car in front was hogging.

I decided to step on pedal to close up the gap and lift off the pedal to let ACC take over.
