Kb27 Supersonic March 19, 2024 Share March 19, 2024 Can this worked in real life ? Is it feasible ? You need to make a longer distance, but you don't have to stop. ↡ Advertisement
Sosaria Twincharged March 19, 2024 Share March 19, 2024 (edited) The turning traffic can still collide with the straight traffic, if the drivers are insistent and don't keep to their lanes . System still breaks down when the traffic gets heavier. The turning traffic lane slows down more, perhaps to a standstill, leading to drivers try to cut queue and lead to accident Edited March 19, 2024 by Sosaria
mersaylee Hypersonic March 19, 2024 Share March 19, 2024 In an ideal world without those errant PMD, PHV, taxi, lorry, bus, delivery van, I must drive lane 1, I must hog lane 1...any design is a world peace traffic design 😁
107fan 5th Gear March 19, 2024 Share March 19, 2024 By right a roundabout functions without traffic lights, and in lighter traffic conditions, it functions perfectly Here in SG we add traffic lights to them and confuses the f*** of those are waiting to enter...
Benarsenal Turbocharged March 19, 2024 Share March 19, 2024 You need to turn, cut across lane and make a U-turn, all within a short distance. Knowing how Singaporeans drive, that is unlikely to go well.

Roundabouts here don’t work cause people don’t follow roundabout rules and further compounded by LTA screwing it up with stupid arrows like those for suntec which are at odds with the standard rules
Kb27 Supersonic March 19, 2024 Author Share March 19, 2024 Yeah, the problem is the drivers, not the system. 😞

When I want to go straight across Jl Buroh, I'm not sure which lane to take. The first time I took the extreme left, thinking it's a circle, I end up going to Jurong Island. Have to make one big round, come out and try again. And there are big trucks around, making it more difficult. 😣

Watwheels Supersonic March 20, 2024 Share March 20, 2024 (edited) From the bird's eye view perspective it looks good but in reality when you make drivers go in circles they will become disorientated on the roads. Confirm chop horlan wan. The drivers' view and perspective from inside the car will be very different. These are ideas coming from ppl who study but dont drive. LoL Edited March 20, 2024 by Watwheels

Jamesc Hypersonic March 20, 2024 Share March 20, 2024 Yes can work but not in SG Because cars going straight need to change lanes with cars turning. And as we all know no one will give way! Want to swap lane I die die must go first you cut behind me. No! I must go first if you want to swap YOU must cut behind me. In the end both won't give way both end up going the wrong way.
