The G6 looks like the closest to the model Y, and interesting to see how close or far it's going to price itself from the model Y.

Shortlisted and watching. [laugh][laugh][laugh]

Landed on our shore. The price seems very reasonable.

XPENG arrives in Singapore with the G6 coupe SUV

The car is built atop the firm's SEPA2.0 platform that makes use of an 800V architecture alongside what is claimed to be an advanced software technology, and also allows it to offer generous space in the cabin.

Opt for the 'RWD Standard Range' variant of the G6 and you'll get a total of 255bhp and 440Nm of torque to deploy, allowing you to crack the century sprint in 6.6 seconds. The 'RWD Long Range' variant, meanwhile, gets a total output of 282bhp and also offers 440Nm of torque, allowing you to complete the same sprint in 6.2 seconds.

That 800V architecture, by the way, allows the 'RWD Long Range' variant of the XPENG G6 to charge at a maximum power of 280kW, which means you can take the car from a 10% to an 80% state-of-charge in less than 20 minutes. The car is offered here with either a 66kWh or an 87.5kWh battery pack, the latter allowing the XPENG G6 to post a WLTP range of 570km.

Is this the promo ?

I wonder if they also offer competive loan interest rate as Tesla and Hydunai. which is below 2.4%

Probably going to cut price again. Tesla results not so good. Need to boost sales volume.

Price very reasonable? Heard fm SE parf only 5k which mean depre and selling price are higher than Model Y. Therefore Singapore is the only country in the world that G6 is more expensive than Model Y. No wonder Audi sales is getting worse and worse in SG

Wow didn't know that Model Y has dropped to this level!

The reality of competition...

I am comparing the G6 with the newly launched Smart #1 Pro+ which is smaller but asking for round the price. Of course, OMV (and PARF) is another important factor to consider when deciding which is the better deal. For now, I do not have the actual OMV of the G6, so cannot comment the VFM-ness vs Model Y.

Knowing PA pricing strategy, there will always be room for nego for sincere buyer, so the final price will likely be <$200K.

I went for the roadshow. The car doesn't come with dash cam. Agent isn't providing for buyer either.

No pricing on insurance either. c

Stabdard range can get at 205k

Without the likes of BYD, Tesla price would not have dropped. Thats why angmo hate the chinese EVs so much. Plan to milk and rip off got disrupted.

Model Y now 107k - 4k incentive, so with COE = 203k.

Not forgetting Model Y ARF is 28k mean Parf = 14k

SE said G6 parf is 5k only.

If one willing to buy at 205k, Premium will be laughing to bank 😛

Just my comments, not arguing against you but being objective. Feel free to correct me.

I did a bit of research. Tesla Model Y wins at the (slightly) lower sale price, and higher PARF. The other benefit is the supercharger network. However, the benefit ends there.

Where the G6 wins are: free autonomous driving software (Tesla $5800). Free connectivity 4G (Tesla $17/mth). And choice of colours are free, wheels are 20". Unlike tesla which could cost another $5k here.

Also I like the Ventilated seats, signal stalks, instrument cluster which model Y / model 3 lacks entirely.

Not forgetting I can Google maps/apple car play instead of forced to tesla maps.

Finally, 800V framework, in support for faster DC charging in the future.

Also, the G6 range is above the WLTP rated, not under. Allegedly due to better battery performance due to  heated/cooled battery tech.

One side thing is, 5 years free "servicing". Which is more like safety inspection to me, since EV rarely need servicing. Tesla has no svc package, which I feel is like refusing to go for health check up until you're obviously sick

@GaryFoo

my point here is regarding PA unreasonable pricing strategies in SG and not saying Model Y is superior than G6.

If you are comfortable with PA current pricing, go ahead to purchase the G6, it’s not a bad car.

As for me, both car are nice, if I live in other countries (Europe, China), I will buy G6 cos cheaper than Model Y, but in SG, I will buy Model Y as it is cheaper here 😜

Notwithstanding PA as a dealership that need to earn money as the middle man,

When I include the features of the G6 and Tesla Y side by side, I really can't see how the Tesla Y is still cheaper than the G6.

At best, both are equally valued in my opinion.

Care to share more why you still think Tesla Y still wins the G6?

Big Tesla factory in China already makes the profit (ie OMV), and is as efficient if not more efficient than small player Xpeng, thus cheaper to make.

Here middleman aka AD also wants to make a cut, sure ends up more expensive for the same thing.

OMV wise,

Tesla Model Y base trim is $52k, XP G6 base trim is $39k.

ARF (after EV rebate) is $30k for Tesla Y. G6 is $6600.

I cannot see how tesla is "cheaper" than Xpeng.

Yes XP has a dealer whereas tesla doesn't. But end-consumer prices show that they end up roughly same price to end consumer.

Yes, the argument for tesla is higher PARF. 12k more there. That's the only financial delta I see.

But need to factor in the Tesla add-on/customization/subscription fee, which slowly erode any savings...

If I miss anything in my analysis , Pls let me know!
