PI bring in J250 Prado diesel. I posted previously

The difference in size may not be that much if FJ Cruiser is used as benchmark.

Length

J300: 4,985mm
J250: 4,925mm

FJ: 4,635mm

Width

J300: 1,990mm
J250: 1,980mm

FJ: 1,905mm

Hmm not petrol? They post wrong info ah. Priced at $335k

i like the smaller size...the original cruizer is just too big for our parking space (unless is landed). If this comes in via AD, should be nice...maybe will need to extend my retirement.......this really caught my eye...

Got one driving LC300 ZX which is so much bigger living in HDB so don't think space is a problem. However at 87L fuel tank , assuming same as Prado, can go pokai🤣

What caught my attention is the official FC at 7.5km/L, and the relatively low power and torque figure from the 2.7L engine. I assume it is NA since the outputs so low.

It’s same engine as Fortuner/RX270

That's a crap engine as compared to 2.8L Diesel.

For Petrol, there is only 1 trim level.  This is a mid-level trim

For Diesel, there is 3 trim level.  Only diesel has top trim, ZX

How to believe you. Tons of feedback all over internet saying Toyota 2TR-FE is damn robust. Toyota using it since 2004….

So I went to look around the showrooms today and wow, it's all very quiet outside of the Chinese EVs..

However you can find some discounts on Volvo management units.. the build is good

BUT... no rear handles on top, very odd for a safety conscious brand

The UI is very touch based, so even access the aircon requires more than 2 touches..

And will you pay more for a Swedish brand Chinese car or just get a Chinese car anyway... hmm

The Forester is not bad for $175k... but it's a bit dated, which also means plenty of physical controls. Lots of room though...

A tougher sell if it really only has a 2.7l option.

Hope they use the other engine options, such as the hybrid from the Corolla Cross

6AT is nice though, let's see how - March 2025 isn't too far away 🙂
