But when you consider he and his closest people use Microsoft product (Windows), Meta product (WhatsApp) and Apple product (iPhone) there has to be a certain degree of security concern due to third party holding information about the user in spite all assurances of privacy.

Nothing will be 100%.

But in Singapore,  from across a multi platform  technical,  commercial,  intel, security,  govt pov, if he says watsapp is good enough for him.

That's as good an endorsement for ordinary folks as you can ever have right?

For WhatsApp and Telegram, it is end to end encrypted.

How valuable is your call and message?

How strong is the encryption against military-grade kind of snooping, I wonder?

In any case you see the "nasi lemak" groups using Telegram for so-called security also got smashed and members revealed and arrested. And this is by our run-of-the-mill polis, not even CIA, NSA, GRU or KGB types [laugh]

For watsapp.

Iirc, lhy said his family uses watsapp calls due to security reasons..... security against who, no need to say.

But the key point here... what made lhy say that.

Ex ceo singtel,  he KNOWS telecom security,  things he cannot say.

Ex saf general,  again,  would be fully briefed on signal security.

Son of LKY, holiest of holy family. ISD, MSD, MHA... all kinds of alphabet agencies would have tutored him from young.

I presume he knows a thing or 2 about watsapp.

Aiyo why think so much and complicated , he just forgot to mention that he wants to save on IDD charges la …

given how his whole family kena until so jialat that cannot even come back home , if there are really such stuff , he would have spilled all the beans Liao lo

Just wondering how expensive it is to issue a BG a military grade (pun fully intended) secured laptop with VPN installed and satellite uplink technology independent of any local telco network?

The defence minister of germany stated that the particular general used an unsecured webex app to join the video conference call. The german military guys use webex but is a tweaked version to secure it and with servers in their own data centre.

The airshow was a magnet for russian intelligence surveillance because of the number of top military officials in attendance.

This is just the germans' claim lol. True or not, who knows?

Also, why does their secured sever allow unsecured webex connections?

Take a pic on any app

and they can open your phone with face recognition.

All your secrets are compromised.

Give access to your voice and text msg and storage?

They can see everything on your phone.

Do phone banking on your phone?

They have full access to all your transactions.

Why discuss when he is in SG?

This topic so urgent die die must talk now?

The most stupid thing is die die must talk in SG.

Go back and then talk all he wants lah.

People don't know how to think.

I was on the PIE a car die die overtakes a truck on the left lane

and want to get off the highway immediately.

So he has to cut in on the chevrons and just avoid the barrier after cutting in truck and the truck had to brake.

If he just stayed behind the truck for 5 more seconds he could just take the off ramp and get off the highway.

Driver like the general are both idiots.

People cannot see how stupid they are.

And all these people think they are smart!

This is the blind spot in life too many people cannot see.

And will never see.
