Tesla keeps screwing their buyers. They just made them suffer a higher loss and that’s not good for customer loyalty.

just like how those W Residences buyers were screwed when new units were released at 40% off previous launch price.

Why Porsche Taycan, eMakan, BMW, I series, Mercedes EQ series no cut price leh... 😁

Needless to say, my 4th failed bid so far. Interestingly my SE has not contacted me to top up.

Is the car in stock in Singapore yet?

I'm not sure bro. My COE has not even been secured yet so I guess it doesn't matter...

Paper value! What a ridiculous question. It depends on the make and model right?
You ask any car dealer to quote with only such a statement they sure tell you paper value.
I let @Jamesc take over.

My opinion.... There will be one group of NG buyers that the ADs will consider "let go" kind... Meaning the bhy price is so low and way below the current coe market, for them to make any profit, the buyers have to top up a crazy amount....so better off to just let the NG bids run out.

You mean acceptable price to you to buy or acceptable price the seller will sell?

I can chop sign guarantee 188 is the acceptable price for the seller, the more important question is 188 acceptable to the buyer?

If not offer lower! Much lower.

If I go and see a car I offer what the seller is asking!

If the seller is asking too high I never even go and see!

Ya, seems like it. A couple of aggressive ads AFTER the expo show, are some ADs running out of orders to keep the narrative of COE will continue to surge?

Quote

Nicholas Wong, chief executive officer of Honda authorised agent Kah Motor, told Motorist: “Looking at the total number of bids received in this round, Cat A has dropped by 500 bids and Cat B has dropped by about 200 bids. The sales volume and bookings are better than usual, but not better than expected. We were expecting better sales. We’re waiting for LTA to announce the next COE quota for May to July, possibly tomorrow or this Friday (April 19).”

Jokes aside the price you should offer is

price used car dealer paid + cost of operations (his rental, staff cost, electricity, interest on loans to buy car etc) + dealer profit.

If the dealer don't make a profit even a small one no point him selling the car.

Ask your SE, some of the stock has not arrived,  they will not bid aggressive.  Just bid lower to try luck.

Asking a used car dealer how much you should pay for a used car

isn't that like asking a wolf how to protect the chickens?
