When u change car, u not only paying the extra for the parts and warranty... Most of the money goes into 'renewing' the COE.

When you change car, you pay for high ARF, huge deaer profit, excise tax etc.

Renew COE is the best, write off PARF which only 50% of ARF, much lower dealer margin, no excise tax. 🤣

Want to talk about saving then better dont buy new car, want to buy new car  then must have no fear of all the mentioned.

When you buy a new car you can always sell the car in 2-3 years at the prorated price of brand new. Anytime you want out, just sell at brand new pro-rated price.

heck, you could even trade up into something better by topping up a bit after a few years.

Surprisingly Cat B only increased $600 plus?! Not many people buy Cat B at car expo? Cat A increased $5k, consider predictable surge. 😂

No surprise,  there was once COE for  B&B  car was higher than COE for Ferrari.

And you also pay the taxes all over again from scratch.

And also paying installment all over again if you are not a MCFer, of course  MCFers will buy cash amd carry.

But you will forever be in debt to service the car loan

If want to keep owning a car, sure need to forever be in debt on car loan.

You are assuming everyone needs to do 5/7 years loan. 😂 Not everyone needs to do that.

Paying $98k still cheaper than buying another car. Lexus is toyota lo, likely trouble free and reliable. 😂

Got bank loan on COE PQP? Asking for friend.

Wise move, after a few years if you decide to get rid of the car, worst case you will still have good balance coe to get back.

My two COE cars are both 15 year old now, so far no regrets.  Recently trying to change one to a 8 year old w213 so that in 2 years time can hopefully start my COE renewal jourbey but wife said dont backside itchy.

The altis now mileage at 348die,die,die, gearbox started to leak oil, time to service gearbox. Still very cheap....cheapo i mean.🤣

Both your cars still have option to continue to renew coe once reached 10th year right?

Thought toyota quality not bad? 15 year old gearbox leak oil liao? But toyota car parts quite cheap, even change should not be a big issue.

Wah what a  waste , fortunately the Parf for vios  is less than 10k like my altis, so it is still fine to write off over 5 years.
