Yup, some in no hurry. If no deal,  so be it. Just move on. Who knows few months down the road, there'll be better deals or launch new models.

Very true. Nothing to lose here. In fact it makes me look forward to the COE bidding day every two weeks. Well, I guess the only con is them holding my deposit which could generate interest. But the amount is not great, given the short term and low principle.

that is for one group of people with time to wait...another group of buyers with time to wait rather wait for all the new entrants launch their products by end of the year or early next year before just going in with guaranteed package.

the game plan is to "entice"too good a price to refuse , many would not think twice and just put deposit

My third failed COE bid today. EA bid $45k for me at around 2pm. Went silent after that. For the record, my purchase price was $142888. 8NG. 5 more bids to go!

2 more days to go for my 4/8 bid! Wondering if CAT A COE will of north of 100k again, given the huge increase of sales volume post expo car show...

Probably. But I guess those that booked in Jan will be asked to top up. Question is how much...

@jogger wonder if this will “ create “ a back flow in 1-2 months time when many missed out on getting their COE.. and thus “ more “ demands for upcoming bidding

I believe it will. Also depends on what's the supply quota for May to Jul. I think it may peak in the coming two months but drop gradually as we get closer to GE24. Haha.

Quite a number who booked BYD and Toyota during January Motor Show didn't secure their COE after 6 bids.

They have been asked to top up and are rejoining the queue for COE in today's bid.

Business so good for BYD and Toyota. Seems like many people signed up for non G COE package. Maybe want to try their luck and yet not in hurry to get a car.

It will be cheaper to replace the wear and tear parts than to change car.

Maybe depends on what car/model you are driving. Perhaps for some cars, it might be cheaper to change car?! 😂

Well the main reason for the freak drop in December due to no stock.

I was at a few AD, toyota, Kia, Hyundai all say no stock for if pay deposit now will only be able to get car in q1 or q2.

Guess the demand is here now.

When u change car, u not only paying the extra for the parts and warranty... Most of the money goes into 'renewing' the COE.

Surprisingly Cat B only increased $600 plus?! Not many people buy Cat B at car expo? Cat A increased $5k, consider predictable surge. 😂

Singapore Expo sold car is not even factor in yet. Most customer only paid $1000 deposit and not the full deposit to bid COE. Not to mention they haven even tested their ordered car in showroom yet

next bidding onward then expo car + backlog order bids will go in.

ice cream ah. Might break record of 102k in next few bidding
