Updates:

Some of my friends driving Kah Motor's Jazz GK3 and GK5 just received the notifications of the recall as well.

Have not informed them to book appointment yet.

Anyone got the defective part to sell?

No need brand new in box.

Old and worn out and taken out from your car also can.

I just got a Fit GK 2019 for MIL as it was recommended by Top Gear as the car for old ladies.

:D

I forgot to add I pay Top Dollar.

Anyone that sold a car to jamesc used car can tell you when I like a model and buy for my MIL I pay good money!

The Prius owner from MCF that sold the unintended acceleration model will be happy to say he got a really good price from me!

i not going to send my car to Kah Motor. I'll verify this with Honda Japan directly to ensure the authenticity of the request and any associated fees since this is recalled by them. Honda Japan should bear all associated costs.

@stanlez

Nope. As per earlier post. Quoted $545 for KM to do. Need to wait 3 or 4 months.

Or ownself change outside at less than half the price but no gurantee the pump replaced is rectified one or not.

After Google Translate, it reads:

Anyone went to Kah Motors and had it replaced/repaired free of charge?

Hi, I also just got notified on this recall as well for my Honda Vezel. I bought the car from Carro few months ago and when I contacted the original PI (Leco), they mentioned that owner has to bear the cost for the recall. Carro quoted me 180 dollars for recall service but if part replacement is a must, I have to bear the cost as well. If Kah Motor is doing a replacement for $545, I think its fine, as from what i checked on google, new fuel pump can cost up to 1000+.

I just received a letter from Kah Motor to replace the same defective part.   The letter also says that it is a violation of road safety act chapter 276 if I do not get the defective part replaced.  So this recall cannot be ignored.

@BoneStock Yes. its free, please go for a peace of mind.

Take note that ALOT of workshops / PI related WS are offering paid diagnostic services to "check" the fuel pump to quickly inform LTA that it was check / replaced.

In the case of Fit and Jazz, the fuel pump is located underneath the gear knob. So in order to check, the entire center console needs to be removed before the fuel pump can be checked for any abnormalities. I have heard of owners send their fit jazz to the PI workshop only for them to open the bonnet to "check". And then sign off the document that the issue has been fixed when it is clearly not fixed. Owners wouldnt know that nothing was done because usually they wont know where the fuel pump is located etc.

In addition, it has to be replaced, not repaired.
