I just came back from Japan with MIL and it's all Taiwanese and a few HK and even more Thais than PRCs. Queue to go up cable car to Zao Onsen. Need to balance swarm of them and local traffic's.... These groups probably not the high spenders type, probably benefits more on airlines, hotels, touristy F&B, local attractions. Probably some convenience and supermarket stores near hotel. Taxi only for for free and easy tourist. If on tour, then travel agencies earning may increase. I myself now broke from MILs holiday in Japan I am taking the kids to Changi beach and Palau Ubin.
