The last time i go cinema to watch a movie is during pre-covid. Forgotten what movie i had watched.

I certainly still go cinema whenever there are new movies worth watching.

Sound is important to me, and there is simply no way to beat the one in the cinema.

But I watch in JB thesedays.  I just drop by the cinema next to the JB immigration during weekdays.

she took 1 whole year to film this movie, quite inspirational but definitely a document of her slimming progress.

Dune Part 2 - 10/10

Complex story dealing with revenge, religion, power, bloodline etc as Paul Atreides becomes Don Corleone and takes on the heads of the five families. :D

Outstanding performances by Timothée Chalamet and Rebecca Ferguson. Individually, they deal with their own path while together, they have to reconcile their relationship as Mother / Son and Bene Gesserit / the Messiah. Ties in to Part 1 where Duke Leto asked Lady Jessica if she will protect Paul not as mother but as Bene Gesserit. Both rise to positions of power in this instalment and start to display their ruthlessness.

Florence Pugh was truly sublime as Princess Irulan, as she gradually matures and learns what has happened and is pushed to the forefront of developments. Her conversations with the Emperor establish that, 1. the Emperor is gradually losing it, and 2. she is capable and ready to step up.

Zendaya as Chani is not so consistent. Very good in the quiet contemplative parts but not so good in the dramatic parts.

I have to go sail the seven seas and watch on TV. I could have watched it on the plane but chose not to.
