The reason CSJ stands a high chance in BB if it was not redrawn, is because he stick to BB for 9 yrs, not because he is strong enough to walk to anywhere and win. The ppl in BB see him, spoke to him, and begin to accept him, all these takes time to build. Had he gone to Bukit gombak SMC, with one of his team gone to Jurong East- Bukit batok GRC, and one gone to holland-bukit timah GRC again, things would have been different for SDP this GE, and make a even better progress in GE2030. 

Poh Li San was the MP for sembawang west under the GRC, and she had been there for 5 yrs. If you look at the map, it can be manage by sembawang TC if PAP wins, it can also be manage by Marsiling-yew tee TC, although makes more sense to go back to sembawang TC. so in a way, Sembawang west left, but did not leave the Whole Sembawang GRC. There is really no reason to vote for CSJ there to break the formation. 

in his opening speech to sembawang west, CSJ claimed he was forced there, because he had no choice, he lost BB. Why would anyone want to vote for a person forced to come to my area? He ownself said, he came not because he wanted to serve me, he came because he boh bian. Vote for him to destroy my home? 

I seriously dont understand what their plan is, but bukit gombak sits inside Jurong east-Bukit batok, Bukit panjang sits inside Holland-bukit timah. By leaving PT alone in Bukit Panjang and gone to the North, SDP is actually helping PAP to improve their votes in bukit panjang. 

 

A bit of side topic: I find it a bit weird Clementi is in Jurong-BB, but BP is under Holland-BT?

The whole Upp bukit timah/jln Jurong kecil area is already borderline Bukit TImah, let alone putting BP inside? BP sits solidly within Bukit Gombak and even CCK/Teck Whye. It should be in Jurong-BB.

Clementi is just next to King Albert Park and Holland Road!

Just too many MP and the way they cut the boundaries, I am sure we the tax payers are the suckers.

Whether there are 30 MP or 100, all the works are done by the operation people and civil servants. It is just that 30 doing full time job or 100 doing part time and not performing. In the private scenario, the part timers will be outsourced.

This KLK issue may be less of an issue than you make it out to be, ironically especially with the folk who would call Indians exactly that. And they are the majority. It’s only the younger woke generation who feel that it’s an issue. People need to grow a thicker skin…… if mere words can hurt you? I’ve been called Ching Chong just for fun, I just knuckled down and did better.

Actually. No one in sg now is a pure dialect speaker. They all understand basic Chinese to some degree. So use 马来 or 印度 peng you is totally understandable even to those in 80s. I get by with some seriously lousy hokkien/Teochew most of the time.

According to OYK, CSJ said he will stay put in Bukit Buttock after gerrymandering. After that, he left.

woke culture is sensitive to many thing, this race name calling was seem ok yet could still hurt some people in the past but doesn't mean can still use it today especially in public speaking.

Apparently this candidate spoke as if she was in the coffee shop talking to friends, she is not aware of her own words or the change in social norm. Again she might think she meant no harm but her behaviour shows that she is insensitive and inconsiderate.

She said she didn't know it's offensive is enough to pull the whole GRC team. GRC was supposedly to field a team with minority so minority can be represented.

Herself admitted to be ignorance of such slang basically just slapped herself... How can a team work well when one doesn't understand the basics... Then the one gotten offended is the team mate. 

Like that how can a team work properly 🤦
