Kee chiu likely will take over the position of DPM from Heng SK, so LW won't pass Mindef to him.

Don't trust an ex soldier with a gun? 

Historically it has been pure civilians for the defence post with only one exception.

Could be OYK.

All the long, no secret that Teo CH was the most trusted man of LHL, and the most trusted guy gets MINDEF. Both OYK and Kee qiu have gone through their tour in MINDEF, as senior minister of state and second minister of defense, would have taken the role if they were trusted enough. 

Kee qiu because of his military back ground and possibility of taking DPM position, LW won't let him hold troops. 

OYK, has a more sensitive background and his working relationship with LW during the pandemic, unlikely to take over NG also.

More likely to be Gan KY, while LW hold on to Finance. Another option will be Desmond Lee because of his family background. Well trusted. 

Teo CH step down, leaving only one senior minister, then mid term Kee chiu take over DPM, and Heng step up to senior minister. After that prepare for Heng to contest for the next President, giving them enough time to find the next minor race President. All map out swee swee. [laugh] [laugh] [laugh]

He is my MP, saw him and talk to him multiple time at coffeeshop beside my house.

Also sometimes  joined the monthly riverside run along PCN organised by him.

OYK very active in his grassroots work according to his SNS.
