Important to be harvard or Dr or professor lo, cause if you are one, higher chances people would listen to what you say. Lol. This happens in workplace also hor.

I want my MP to really serve his ward full time and not those who can sit on so many directorships and rely on his PLP kar kias to report to him.. 

They are paid reasonable wages and if they don’t have a hands-on attitude, pls let those who can commit full time to really serve the residents wholeheartedly..

We don’t need PHDs , Doctors or High ranking military men to wayang during election campaign.

What do you mean "serve"? I know as soldiers mean prepare to lay down life when fighting for the country. As MP while being paid 200k pa? 

I think the word is over used.

Honestly, Sinkies don’t deserve him for all his perseverance and dedication if we continue to vote undeserving MPs into office…

It has proven to be the successful way to get into parliament from the numbers available here. Unfortunately, 70-80% of those voted think this way or rather just take that queue. 😭

It's a paid part time job that often benefits one's career. Please don't say serve....

Singaporean have this fixation on paper quals or, should I more accurately call it "academic pedigree", because not all those who have such background are actually very smart  

But it seems to be the only objective measurement; if want to gauge service or heart to serve, that's very very subjective and airy fairy.

Having the smarts to think of way to get things thru admin bureaucracy is also necessary to get things done in our civil service. Arguments, paperwork etc.
