The nric number debacle sounds so much like the Signal chat leak in the US now. After getting caught with pants down their last resort is to declare the data is no secret so no laws were broken.

Our politicians are mainly bureaucrat or technocrat, efficient and pragmatic is emphasized, at the expense of being able to socialise easily.

It's like when you were in your school days, those diligent top scorers who worked hard, got stellar results and scholarships, how many of them were the life of the party, so to speak? There were definitely more introverts .

Most of here anyway don't have the habit of engaging and talking to complete strangers, not to mention if they were from other age group or socioeconomic status. Just no common topic.
