For me is to give timeline to PR. If after a certain time if SG feels that they are not deserving of the PR then revoke. Else proceed to citizenship. If they don’t take up also revoke.
Why should there be a free lunch forever. SG Inc should behave as such. Else my pink ic is worthless.

As MP is tied to Municipal matters, Oppo must demonstrate ability to run town council.

Thus going by your thought process those in private, need not care. Since the action of the the town council does not matter. Roads and drains, cleaniness outside the unit is maintained by LTA and PUB and NEA.

How on earth are MP running town council. Even Subsidiary Proprietor sitting in council of MCST engage MA to run it for them. Some MP are multi tasked to be minister and we need so many ministers because they couldn't cope yet can run town council. No time even to meet the people sessions. Just like so MP siting in 50 boards as director. Every week 1 meeting also no time to go toilet. 😆

So long as they are contributing, paying taxes and their PR kids, if any, serve NS, who cares?  

They can happily retire to MY or Philippines when they are no longer productive, leaving us with even more CDC vouchers and quota for younger more driven PR.  Win win.

Just kidding... Just another perspective from someone I know.

MP are not full time job.  That's why they are paid allowance rather than salary.

In term of $ we are paying for the cabinet, the % of sleeping members in white out number easily and we are adding more. The oppositions at least say something to keep most awake. Imagine everyone going for a meeting to agree on everything without contribution, best to circulate a memo on items decided. Meeting for what?

Aiyo, how long ago was this picture taken? Mr Mah Bow Tan featured in two of the pictures have retired 10 years ago in 2025 lei. Some of the others here I can't even recognise..

If your MP is caught sleeping in parliament and not doing his job in his regular duties and not contributing, definitely should vote them out..

If they do fall asleep from working too hard for you such as attending funerals, residents' feedback.. also vote them out? I guess it depends on one's daily dealing with their MPs.
