Must be LTA anyhow again. Cannot blame minister as he is just a mouth piece, the info and points to substantiate needs to come from LTA. As usual the JLB stat board strikes again.

They've been parked there several months. All are Velfire/Aphard type.

There is also quite a few parked in what used to be the German European Primary School at the end of Jln. Jurong Kechil. Some still with personal effects on the rear shelf, like umbrella or tissue boxes. Mazda 3 and Nissan Selphy with near running reg. numbers. The building is being used, after recent renovation, but I don't know for what.

Always so reactive nowadays.

When those PHV companies are done with their rampage of the COE and pushing COE to sky high THEN the govt come in.

PHV is car heavy. Same quota but 5x more mileage

I asked the alphad phv driver picking me fro the airport about mileage. He said about 10k km a month. That's more than my 1 year usage!

That car was already 400k plus km despite only a few year old. Car lite with PHV? Only people with water in their heads would believe.

Sorry ownership is the means to the end which is actually traffic congestion control or you forgot what the entire purpose of all these car curbs are

You a civil servant amirite? 🤣

Expand

COE controls car population.

With fixed pool of population, the question is whether more or less private ownership.

With less private ownership, govt revenue will increase as cars are used more.

Our traffic congestion control is half f, it is less to do with congestion control. It is more about revenue generating.

I wish I am civil servant.

If this debate exist, then maybe when Minister Chee discuss about the new COE cat for Private hire, it is a sensitive one.

If they go back to their rule of thumb, which is to fix the population, and they spilt more for PHV, the commoners like us won't be happy.

If they create a new Cat and have their own pool of population under this scheme, then they are biting against their words.

I will prefer them to have a separate population for PHV. if they wanna control traffic, they just build more ERPs on OCR, CCR and RCR lor. on the ERP 24/7. 😅

Oh wait. then no one will take grab if there is more car available. 😅

Okay back to the drawing board!

My gut feeling is fleet PHV COE will be carved out of private car pool.

It is unlikely to be free for all Taxi COE
