Then the PHV companies will not go in to bid COE and buy more cars

when Uber was exiting SG there were lots of Mazda 3s parked at URA/HDB car parks. after that LCR started to lelong the Mz3s. went to see ex-LCR Mz3s at Leng Kee then with a friend who was keen.

Each month each car sits there is costing the owners in depreciation, road tax, probably parking and insurance.

Maybe $800 per car per month? That’s still a lot of money that’s vaporising…

Maybe year end ……. PHV dreber go on holidays …… all earned too much in 2023 …… must spend off excess profits …. Return car back to leasing companies …… even hawkers go holidays nowadays ….. can’t imagine anything like this 5 years back

Yeap, last time I went to return car during Uber days, LCR like practically owned the car park. It was at some commercial building at Jurong East, I think maybe 3 higher floors full of rental cars belonging to them.
