My Uncle bought the Galant in 1993,the 2.0V6 Engine really nice,but the Gearbox not Good,changed a Gearbox in C&C for $5,000.00.

Think the last selling well lancer is the 2006 model, after that their lancer no longer popular. Galant long long time no more liao.

But now there are many other choices of house aircon brand also not bad, mitsubushi aircon not say very popular liao.

Back then attrage was a better selling model due to price was cheap. But this model think launched in 2016, but now like many attrage disappeared from the road liao, and this model not even reached 10 year old yet.

With govt policy, most Japanese car will not survive in this market.

Ppl rather buy Skoda than Toyota.

Drove this car before at my former workplace..

Belong to my Jap MD and I always drove to KL and Penang for work together with him.

Really shiok with the smooth n creamy acceleration and was damn stable during high speed.

My boss was like my speed limiter… not so fast pls.🤭 

Nissan Teana (2.5 V6) drive identical to the Galant..

Haha cannot like that say lah, just matter of perspectve, Malaysia new car sales per year is about 700,000 units,  11k unit is about 1.5% of the total unit sold. If it is the AD problem, C&C would have seen it and sent their Mercedes unit top gun to  do sales  coaching and cadencing already.🤣

The fun fact is, Malaysia has more car than its population, about 33m cars vs 31m people.

Many were used for PHV. Drivers just whack and many chwee and also coe was higher in 2016. Many were scrapped early to buy in 2019.

Most of the sales are Triton.

Despite having 1 best selling model, it is the 5th best selling vehicle in Malaysia.

Some years ago i remember they stopped producing Lancer  and Evo, focussing on crossover, i think R&D money is the main prpblem .

In the early 80 i had a lancer that i drove it for 10 years, no single problems at all except for wear and tear.

There's no way they can enforce (although they are trying to check the Malaysian motorbikes at checkpoint already). Otherwise they literally have to turn away everyone, and that is not good for our economy.

Mitsubishi as a whole has been struggling for many years liao.

They already pulled out of UK market. They lost a lot of money in US due to bad marketing practices.

They are only reasonably successful now in developing markets where their cheap and rugged vehicles can sell. More sophisticated markets like SG, Europe and US, they CMI already.
