Since I am overseas for 3 weeks already and my last drive of my car was in 10 Dec. The car 12V battery gradually reduce from 13V+ . Yesterday it went below 12V and it was charged up by the main EV battery.

So for EV it look like no need to worry of the 12V battery condition if not driving for long time,  it will be taken care by the EV main battery.

But handphone tech is changing all the while but people still buy handphone instead of landline no?

Most people change hanphone every 2 to 3 years.

How many people change car every 2 to 3 years, Maybe only @RadX changing less than 2 yrs or 1.

Last era when coe is low, many people change car every 2-3 years, esp when the warranty is up and when the car needs to go for inspection. Lol.

That's already history.

I had a Toyota Allion for 2.5yr only.  Changed mainly because don't like the drive.

My last 4 ot 5 rides all changed within less than 2 yrs.

This need to stop. Current ride exceeded my expectations and still not see a worthy contender.

A major fact for people in other countries is that they expect to own a car for more than 10 years given how expensive a car has gotten nowadays. Maybe not as their main car but certainly as a beater car for their kids etc.

For America. They used to be able to get cars for 20k usd and drive them for 6 digit miles. Now that price category has only 1 car.

The lousiest ICE car also can expect to find parts and keep it running well over a decade. Whether cost efficient is another question.

Even the most hard core of an EV owner will wonder what to do with an EV near COE expiry.

In Singapore we are just used to paying through our nose. Haha even the Malaysians don't understand how expensive our cars are.

Looking more at lower cost of  battery pack replacement like  a used EV with a new set of  battery pack🤣

Next time all used car dealers will change their name to "refurnished" EV dealers, Chinese call them 95新. [laugh] [laugh] [laugh]

When comparing Xpeng G6 and G30 side by side, can tell the Chinese quality is getting better, does not look like some cheapskate car during the days of Chery QQ and is on par. No wonder the Germans  are feeling the heat. One thing may be hard to change, drive chinese no face, drive Conti got face whahaha 🤣
