My place has 6 EV lots with 21 EVs  and growing where  majority are Tesla , BYD and MG. The EV adoption is strong. From the looks of it, fear for the future of the German auto industry because it may not sustain so maybe  go for Chinese EVs or Tesla😝

Saw my that my neighbor bought a E200, kaypo and went to check the price… ouch $400k. And still the same 2.0 turbo with 200hp
I would get a catB tesla or seal and save the money. Or go for something else electric for the same money, Like BMW i5 at 390k.
seems like many others also concur. Hardly see any w214 on the roads.

Happy to share.

2 LED headlights which failed one after another (can you believe PML charges >$5k per lamp?)

High and low pressure fuel pump, fuel sensor, etc.

Aircon cooling coil.

The coolant system (tank, hose, reservoir, etc)

Engine mount & front suspension arms.

….

Almost everything broke within a period of 6 months.  Didn’t really have much issues earlier.  It is like a planned obsolescence.

That’s the shitty thing with the LED lights. Whole unit goes. Not like last time can just change bulb. To me it’s a waste of money. Manufacturers just finding parts to fleece us.

Wonder how much it'll cost outside of PML?

I did the aircon outside as PML needed 3-5 days to fix it while L & Khim could do it in 12 hours at 1/2 the cost.

The fuel module cost 20% less outside ($3.2k) but I decided to go back PML which cost $3.9k for peace of mind.   It was a problem that was hard to diagnose (intermittent loss of power at high RPM) and I needed recourse to hold PML responsible for the diagnosis.

Yes. They banned plastics bags.  It is ironic.

But like what @ER-3682 mentioned, it could be part of the "adaptive" technology.

Luckily these broke before end of warranty.  That heng heng saved me $11k.

Well HID still can just change the bulb at most $50. And ballast maybe 200-300. And bright enough.

Of course can see near

But you will struggle to see far.

Moreover you don’t drive on NSHW at night.

I know some will say wear and tear and part and parcel of owning a car. Coolant system and aircon i can accept. But not the fuel module if less than 100k km and certainly not the lights at anything less than 8-10years
