Too many pop up ads

The newly introduced pop up ads are too frequent (one appears with each page load) and at times packs two ads into one page. On a mobile phone that is basically 1/4 of the screen.

I understand that ads pay the bills but exercise some restraint in your spam?

Don’t be like Straits Times prioritising ads before news

Instead of annoying pop up more ads in every page is preferable.

Poo up ads that annoy people backfire.

People hate the ads not going to support the product.

I have closed so many ads I don't even bother to see what the products were.

As a marking guru pissing customers off is not a winning strategy.

:D

If you can quote me I think you can read what I wrote - that ads are necessary but there should be a balance between content and advertising and I feel it’s gone overboard here.

Was curious about this so I disabled my ad blocker and browsed a few pages. Promptly enabled back my ad blocker thereafter 🤐🤐🤐

Ooops i cheapo can only afford free stuff, so i dare not to commment 🤣

I practice gratitude, so i m grateful that MCF only uses a small pop-up ad.

They could have use a big pop-up that  blocks everything behind  and closes after 10 secs. 😂😂

So thank you MCF for ur kindness. 🙏

very disruptive, especially when trying to type a forum post....the typing just gets disrupted every time the  video ad pops up in the lower right hand side.

Not sure if it’s related but I can’t scroll up/down when in the main forum page, on my iPhone, maybe due to some ads waiting to pop up or what. Can click on the few headers/topics that’s showing though.

I still have this issue.... start to type then realised it stopped accepting many words ago.

Also, now, I have full screen pop-up videos and ads appearing mid-post as I scroll. This is in addition to the pop-up bottoms left, and a new one along the page footer.

Yes, on desktop it is fine where there is more screen space but on mobile phone basically the forums are damn near unreadable, and the auto-playing of videos both eats up data and is disruptive to quiet reading of forum pages.

On the bus from Clarke Quay, just past the "School of Positive Phycology" so wonder if MCF can organize special rates to compensate? 😉😏🥹🇸🇬😳
