This was my thought....... how much cash-in-suitcase trips will we see? 😏Even just up to the declaration level.

I think there is a bank branch inside transit area.

There are limits both to how much cash can be carried in and out, so it's as much to do with overseas customs as local.

That said, I don't remember any branch airside, only ATM and FXchange.... but I never walk around, just point-to-point.

Sure would have a lot to come in and do illegal short term work such as chef in Chinatown restaurants etc.

Maybe for KTV business, like the highly prized Han Feizi 😂😂😂 but 30 days as chef, cannot even cover flight and other costs, unless he or she is a Michelin chef.  Those will come in legally on longer visa.

Those are ok, at least providing a service.

30 days so short? 🤣🤣🤣🤣  A day or two holiday once a month won't do any harm.

Be prepare for longer queue (jam) at our dear causeway custom to JB. 😁

Visa, yes you would see overstayers.

Without visa there won't be anyone class as overstayer.

Upon entry into the country, it is stated how many days 1 is allowed to stay.

That is regardless of visa or visa free.

At a conservative 130 per hour for mass market. 8 cus a day is 1000.

Minus cost... Could do 20000 per visit 🤔

You didnt get into the real numbers or understand the ground situation.

This is one of the examples I am quoting and I have seen this in real life.

A PRC national bought / set up an eatery here in Singapore. Some of his relatives/friends that visited him using 探亲 visa are actually working casually in his eatery as chefs and cashiers. To shave accommodation costs, they stay with him. Best of all, the owner doesnt need to pay CPF, foreign worker levy etc and they get some help around.

And it is so hard for MOM to enforce.

With the visa waiver, this would just open the floodgates. There are so many PRC restaurants and stalls in Chinatown.

Indeed difficult for the authorities to catch all, so usually when people know such things happening, must report to the authorities.
