Likely to see it sold by PI first. This happened for the current Camry, Borneo took a very long time to launch it officially when PIs have already sold it for probably more than a year or so.

Would the new stock be Australia spec-ed, just like what happened to the earlier Camry ascent hybrid stock too?

Hope the new Camry get the 8 speed auto transmission instead of boring CVT when brought in by borneo.

I had a road trip to US last year with their local spec Camry. 2.5l NA 200hp engine with 8 speed auto was a blast to drive around!

We had that Camry spec with 8 speed auto here at Borneo previously. It didn't sell very well unfortunately.. probably the petrol prices here pushed up the popularity of the hybrid ones. The hybrid ones can hit 20+km p l so it's not too shabby for a 2.5l engine. They are pretty quiet too. Won't be surprised to see this sell well when it's here and COE becomes more moderate.

AD Camry is sourced from Thai land.

It depends on Thailand launch.

This generation launched with Hybrid only.

I read that the 5th Gen hybrid system 2.5L 4-pot needs to run on 0W-8 grade engine oil, an even thinner oil than the current 0W-16.

I think the viscosity of the oil will feel like this:
