For someone who wants to drive a Mercedes with Renault engine, cannot think of other reasons other than  the badge🤣

Don't like this lah... I can tell you 99% of the buyer don't know.

does any of you find the dashboard very taxi-ish looking? Very 90s/00s looking IMO. And I am not even comparing it to the next gen EV dashboards which are too minimalist.

I am only surprised that nobody complain about the steering wheel.

Maybe the better off ones will consider the Camry for the functionality while the 3 series usually attract those who want to been seen in it to look rich🤣

3 series look rich? 😂😂😂 laugh die me. Pls have higher standard leh… 3 series (330i and below) and car like C class (C300 and below) are bread and butter cars for the beggar class in MCF.

Unique to Singapore, even neighbours up north don’t sell low spec variants like: 318i, 320i, C160 and C180. These are too noob for them. Theirs start from C200 and 330i. 😂

I took a Grab in a Kia Cerato in Ho Chi Minh City, it is using the 1.6T engine.

Because our Neighbours don't have so much Ruling like COE based on Power,Road Tax based on Engine Size,OMV,Multi Tier Import Taxes,CEVS & GST..Etc.

If i spend $250k on a Camry, ppl say i tao hong. If i spend $250k on a 3 series or Merc CLA, ppl say i steady. Now that's the difference to me.

its the badge that is creating this delusion.. but if u are a car person, i believe camry is still a better choice in terms of reliability and other areas when compared to a same priced conti badge

Buyer also didnt factor in the running cost such as maintenance, repair, and etc.

ya, unless really can change car once every 3-5yrs, then conti cars might make sense since repairs or faults will be covered under warranty, then no need to really bother much abt maintenance and repair cost

@inlinesix  EV won’t be affordable without gov subsidy and now rebate for Hybrid/PHEV also being cut. I think ICE car in SIngapore will be minoritrity in 10-15 years……then it will be time that people quarrel for their EV chargers while ICE cars will drive around town to fill up gas, since petrol stations will be as rare as museum piece.

In my estate, Charge+ installed 4 charging stations (8 bays) in 2022.  There is only 1 Tesla.

Now, there are at least 6 EV in MSCP.  Charge+ installed 5 charging stations in late 2024.

As long as there is demand, there will be more charging stations.

Going forward, CEVS cut-off will be getting lower.

@inlinesix We never know, I hope CNG fiasco not repeated.

Slow chargers is perfect if stay in landed property. Anyway limit number of chargers can be installed also depend on how big the SP Power cable in the vicinity, if reaching limit new cable need to be laid and substation transformer also need upgrade if no spare capacity. As long as money no issue all of these are no barriers…..so far all EV charger got garmen support all the way. Installing DC charger is the most expensive one due to high current draw consequently big cable need to be drawn from substation.
