But yeah, definitely the premium marques will still sell in this high COE environment. I've been seeing more Citroen SUVs with new registrations in malls and roads. Think those with families are gravitating towards such cars as a bridge between the jap/korean and germans. My estate had minimal new cars since 2022, then recently noticed 2 new citroens. Invigorated Supercharged November 21, 2023 Share November 21, 2023 Will we be getting the Aussie Version from PI, which is essentially still built in Japan? I think Borneo is likely to bring this in too. https://pressroom.toyota.com.au/PressRelease?pr-code=7b89f9de-ffb6-4e25-80ab-341ae1a8c6e7 "Cars for Australian customers will be built in Japan with a local launch slated for the second half of next year. Toyota Australia Vice President Sales, Marketing & Franchise Operations Sean Hanley said the global adoption of hybrid-electric technology for Camry reflected overwhelming consumer demand, including in Australia." "... Interior adopts a modern, open concept with refined materials that endow each of the model’s three grades with their own personality and style. Convenience is a hallmark, including a standard smart key with push-button start, dual-zone automatic climate control, and wireless Apple CarPlay®1 and Android Auto™2 compatibility. Additional connected services include an emergency SOS button3, 24/7 automatic collision notification4 and stolen-vehicle tracking5."

Citroens are vfm nowadays. In fact I was at Cars@Expo and they said they sold out their yearly allocation of C4s hence they're not selling it aggressively vs Pug 2008. C5AC might look small but they're comparable to the size of a Tucson or etc and has been cheaper than a Corolla Altis by 10+k since the 1.2L was launched. Having experienced the C4 Cactus (just sold) for a year (full story for a day) with a mere alternator change for 1.2k at C&C (outside is ard 700-800), they're looking ok to me. The dreaded ETG is crap (Seat Toledo's DSG is rubbish too) but the new AISIN 6-spd is good, can't complain about Toyota products right? Edit: after testing the Toledo (Diesel) I miss the relatively cush ride of the Cactus Edited November 25, 2023 by Brass

And incompetent too. I had to return to them 3 times to get the alternator installed properly (in the meantime "battery charge fault" chimes like the alarm clock) And I thought AD is good. If I were to buy another I would buy it used and go indie (I bought it from DFM when it was 7 years old in 2022) You've owned a Citroen before? My understanding is PHEV - Can run on electric power for limited distance. Can charge battery by plug-in or engine. Fully Hybrid - Can run on electric power for short distance. Battery charge by engine only. Typical battery voltage is > 100V. Mild Hybrid - Cannot run on electric power. Typical battery voltage is 48V.
