Indeed. As stated in this article:

With that success in mind, it’s understandable that the new 2025 Camry doesn’t start from scratch. It’s a heavily facelifted version of the old sedan, but one with enough new content that should keep the tills ringing at Toyota dealers.

Toyota is probably repeating the same strategy it used on the current Lexus IS (an extensive face and butt lift).

Talking about Lexus, I find the new Camry have heavy hint of the newer Lexus model.

Existing current model already have those near-identical full red seats and interior trim.

What are all these social media folks shouting about? Memory loss

This is sort of a big facelift, something equivalent to what the germans will do for mid-life update.

No need to change the stamping machines molds also got many people buy lo. Toyota cars default people will buy no matter how it looks.

Not very coffee shop uncle leh!

Alienate their loyal customers/

:D

I reckon Toyota shld juz leave the Camry as unker as possible instead of trying to alienate it's loyal customer base. Like it or not, there is a huge customer base who juz wants a big-ish, sedated A to B car or see a car simply as white goods n never asked for a 'sports sedan'

If Akio Toyoda buay tahan n wanna inject more zest into the brand, revive the Caldina name but to save cost, use whatever camry shit underneath, might hv better chance of the brand appealing to car enthusiasts

Current Camry from AD launched with 2L and 2.5L.

Moved to 2.5L hybrid after facelift.

Today will be the launch of the Chinese version Camry in the Guangzhou Autoshow. Let's see if there are any differences. Maybe it will look more executive look.

Sharing some pics of the China variant lifted off YouTube. The exterior looks very similar, mostly the interior dashboard that's different. I do prefer this over the us one and I do hope Asia gets this version.

Yup. The dashboard is slightly neater on the Chinese version and look more expensive without the screen linked to the air con vent like the US version does.

Toyota is doing what they did to the Lexus IS to this Camry but is more successful on the IS because despite on the old platform, most metalsheet are new. Whereas on this Camry, the front door and front fender got carried over. But anyhow, this heavily revised Camry's design kind of grow on me.

WOW, it’s so similar to the new Prius on the front design. Wonder how the next generation Corolla Altis will look like already, sadly Japan only sell Corolla which is different from Asian market “Altis”

I think this ''New'' Camry will be based on Indent only.

With cars these prices, the local trend for those who cant afford the germans will be B&B sedans + mostly crossover/SUVs.
