It's good for working in tight spaces. Imagine it can move mm left and right very quickly. Your hands can't do that without tiring easily.

Watch some Youtube and you can see how this multi-tool or oscillating tool is being used.

I could have bought a Milwaukee, but it's a lot more expensive.

I found this video, for many things you can do with a multi tool. Generally, I'd say it's for small trim work, and in places where access is restricted, where you can't bring the bigger tools there.
