Honda Prelude Concept

The last gen Prelude was so long ago siah.

Back then it had a mechanical rear wheel steering, torque vectoring aka ATTS or what it has evolved into electronic AWD today. And the 2.2L SiR Vtec engine. Ironically vtec is pretty much non-existent in Honda ICE engines today.

I wonder what innovations Honda put into their EV spork car? Hopefully not some fancy big-ass touchscreen.

The 2.2 VTEC was a wonderful sporty drive.

Nice.... One of the models I wanted when much younger!

During those days, even an Accord seemed unattainable……

Can't get excited for ev. Maybe they are just electrical appliances to me. Want more power just put in bigger motor and battery. Only innovation is touchscreen. Maybe like play ps5 games. Lol.

Not EV but hybrid, according to the latest news.

A Honda press spokesperson tweeted that the Prelude Concept does not preview a purely electric model, as the brand’s limited release on the car suggested, but rather a hybrid. We also reached out to a second spokesperson from the company’s U.S, division, who confirmed this information.

“I can confirm it’s a hybrid,” the spokesperson told Carscoops. “The announcement we made in April of 2022 was that Honda would begin exploring the creation of two sporty electrified models, a Specialty and Flagship. Our hybrid-electric system is an electrified powertrain, so the plan has not changed.”

“The Prelude Concept is being considered for the Japanese market. We’re not going to speculate about our future product plans in North America,” he added.

@kobayashiGT I find the overall shape of the concept more like the gen 4 Prelude.

What I can’t stand now is some electric cars have fake revving noises coming from speakers.😔😞

One of the cars, that i almost bought back in 2002.
very handsome looking for its time.

this current concept on looks like a 2 door Taycan.

usually the actual production car always ends up looking no as solid as its concept.
