Mr Lee is very clear about iran.

In two interviews with the late Arnaud de Borchgrave in 2001 and 2008, Lee specifically warned about allowing Iran to get a nuclear weapon.

"When I last interviewed you in May 2001, I asked you what concerned you most about the next 10 years, and you replied, 'an Islamist bomb, and mark my words, it will travel,'" de Borchgrave said.

"You can be quite sure that if and when Iran gets the bomb, the Middle East will go nuclear," Lee replied.

Bilahari said that would be the main event underlying what's happening in the middle east.

All these is just appetiser only. So just whether pah today, or pah later.

Some guy who's been to every country in the world, said about 75-80% of Iranians actually don't follow Ramadan.

That's something interesting I didn't know.

So Saudi can't normalise relations with Israel without the approval of the Muslim world - so what makes you think it was happening?

Because the western media reported it?

And Israel is bombing the daylights of Palestine, Lebanon, Syria and Yemen which are muslim majority, in the name of Anti-Terror from Oct 7th

The simple answer is Yes.

Saudi being the head of Sunni cannot be seen weak against Zionist (as compared to Shia which is lead by Iran).

yeah... i was also very surprised when i read about that, many arent happy about the clerics influence. very different from media impression of what the country is.

they are proud of their country.... but dont necessarily put religion above everything.

Saudi can still start diplomatic relations with Israel even after October 7th.

It can denounce Hama's terrorism and close ranks with Israel.

The fact they did not, means cost-benefit analysis swings the other end, or ties normalisation is not a sweet enough fruit.

Your rhetoric is not holding water

Cannot anyhow close ranks. It's population may revolt against the royal family since they cannot vote.

Exactly.

How can Saudi close ranks with Israel when Palestine is unresolved.

Critical thinking is required as we read news these days... certain things are nigh impossible.

Blinken just wanted a breakthrough because of Saudi Arabia and Iran normalised relations through China, bringing glimmer of hope of peace in the Middle east.

Not because US wanted peace in the middle east... but on the bright side, any effort, regardless of intention is welcomed for the populace there.

How serious is this escalation if Israel execute all of items listed? Can Iran defend against it? They are using Russia S300/400 AD. How many countries will be involved if nuclear site explode?

Iran wants to destroy Israel.

China wants to attack TW.

Russia already invaded Ukraine.

North Korea wants to invade South Korea.

Who is preventing all these things?

USA.

Thank you Uncle Sam.

There are report of one misfire of missile that resulted in some death and wounded on the Iranian side. So the casualties of this whole Iranian strike are either Iranian and one Palestinian. Quite an irony.

Better to fill up petrol tank to the max as price will increase by a lot.

How true is Iran's comment that they targeted only military targets and not the civilian population? Rocket targeting sans guidance system will not be very accurate, especially since fired long distance from Iran 1,000km away and across Iraq.

Israeli air-strikes are always with precision against military targets. The question will be how can Israel jets cross hostile air space to hit back at Iran. Unless Saudi close one-eye to allow Israeli jets to cross their air space.   Or take off from USA carriers in the Persian Gulf.
