You can see ur speedometer dials for the rpm. If engine stop due to Start-Stop function kick in, the meter should show 0 rpm. And you will feel your car aircon not as cold generally also.

The Start-Stop can be turned off anytime during the trip.

This is not Mazda..

🤣

This is for e-HEV hybrid.

It is different from IMA hybrid.

Same same but different if you don't understand.

Yah...it is a leap improvement...same as my Camry Hybrid.

You drove b4 IMA hybrid?

e-HEV and Toyota Hybrid are different hybrid.

In 1.5L, e-HEV is underwhelming.

In 2L, e-HEV is highly regarded.

There is multiple reminder to me that the battery will be dead soon and performance will degrade.

Is this a message that shows up? Sounds worrying.

By the way can try to find out whether can change the language settings to English. My JDM PI Yaris Cross can set to English.

Some Toyota that export to Australia, like my Camry, can change to English, but i don't think Honda can.

My bad. Seldom drive my wife's Camry Hybrid, still thinking along the approach for my Superb. Yah hybrid cannot turn off the start-stop. No wonder the initial owners complained about the car aircon not working after pro-long stuck in causeway jam.

Got moustache not father. 😁

Like that very complicated as don't know which dad. Was it Touran, Biante, Vellfire, B180s, or is it the current Superb? Nevermind not important.

I own a Honda Freed Hybrid 2019 model and this happen to me twice.

When going to Malaysia at Woodlands causeway, sometimes it's a long wait. But there are times where it's 1 hour+ at the causeway.

The strange thing is that my hybrid battery will go dead, and then the car doesn't seem to move. When I press on the accelerator, the car jerks and has no power moving forward. There is multiple reminder to me that the battery will be dead soon and performance will degrade.

Only when the car clears the customs, I drive for about 1km+ then the car goes back to normal. The last time it happens, I have to stop the car, turn off and on, and I see the car charging.

So the question is:

1) Why isn't my Freed charging when stationary? Is there a configuration that I need to do in order to enable that? The car instructions are all in Japanese.

2) Will this situation damage the battery life?

i also drive ICE engine car, but if i not wrong, inorder to charge a hybrid battery, you must either maintain a certain rpm that is will help to charge the battery or when you are braking.

when you are stationery and idling, i think it is eating up your batter power. nothing you can do if it degrades lah, You are not in a situation where you can charge up the battery if you are stuck in the causeway.
