At least in his relatively short life-time, he just went out to do what he wants, lived life on his own terms, indulged in his love for food and film, and not burdened by family obligations. It's a good life.

Some of us may live much much longer but don't even have the chance to have that many years of freedom from obligations.

This is why I decided to call it a day early and re-focus from work to relationship and gaining my freedom of doing whatever I want.

I don't need to have lots of $$$ by working till no end. I just need to have enough.

I don't need to have lots of possessions. I just need to  enjoy my current possessions.

Life is fragile, and when a health issue hits, no amount of $$$ and possessions can buy any consolation.  The only thing that one need at that time is  relationship.

As for work, perhaps a few words of recognition for all the late hours and hard work by bosses,  but one will be  quickly replaced  and forgotten in a week after they are gone.  Business back as usual.

RIP to RL. Gone too soon. :a-rip:

The lie-flat group is probably one end of the spectrum and the other end is those that work till you die.

Honestly, one does not need to be extreme in managing achievements vs. self care.

Just ask yourself how much you want to achieve, how much you want to put into it, and how much you expect to receive.

In life, seek balance. The universe is always balancing itself everyday, that's how it lasted 13 billion years.

We are nothing but just a tiny subject created within the elements of this vast massive universe. Being balance in our life means we are align with the forces of the universe, and so, less stress, healthier and happier.

But most will not seek balance because most want  more power and even more $$$ .  Can only wish them well.

Sometimes not even lie flat.

Just wanna maintain also cannot,  bosses will come up with all kinds of "we must do more and grow..." bulls**t to justify their silo.
